Hey,
Since around 8/12 I've been experiencing various degrees of dizziness.
It started lightly only when I would stand up. Then it gradually progressed to longer term spells when I would walk for hours at a time (especially when I was walking)Some of the things that I was doing at the same time this started.A LOT of Archaeology out in the hot sun. Walking through wilderness and fields and strenuous labor.
The only other constant symptom I've had was a little before the dizziness started I went to Urgent care thinking I had a bug bite (brown recluses are a mid-western archaeologists worst nightmare). They first diagnosed it as Misc. bug bite and gave me bactrim. It went away shortly after that however, then the dizziness started and then another "bite" showed up further up my leg about six months later, this time without me doing any fieldwork (which is how I thought I had got it before.) The same area has continued to have spasms and intermittent pain throughout this whole ordeal.
In addition, early on, I kept getting what the doctor thought were sebaceous cysts. On my face, back and groin. These went away shortly after I took the bactrim for my leg.
About a month after the leg and dizziness started I've had intermittent dull pain behind my right ear feeling like a "light" ear infection.
Since all of this has started I've been to, or had the following done..
*MRI, MRA, Ct Scan (neg.)
*Various blood work, including full spectrum lyme disease (neg.)
*Full Optometry exam (Nothing out of the ordinary)
*Physical Therapy (thinking my ear pain was somehow cause by muscle tension and thus was throwing off my equilibrium.
* A Staph infection check and treatment results undetermined however was treated with nose swabs for "good measure"
* Vertigo Clinic (neg.)
* Full ENT exam (neg.)
* EKG (neg.)
* Diabetes check (neg.)
They just recently started actually addressing my leg as the spasms and pain have persisted. At first it was pretty much ignored.
I keep thinking that Medicine has to know what this is by now, but no one is telling me anything that's helping and I continue to have the dizziness.
If anyone has any ideas I would be greatly indebted?
