Just got out of the hospital after 5 days with Rhabdo.. CPK of 99,000. I got it from doing p90x. After the third day and workout I was very sore and could hardly sit down let alone put a jacket on. That night, I had dark urine, and I just thought I was dehydrated. I drank a lot of water and didn't wake up to pee like I normally would. Woke up peed again, and still dark. I decided to Google, "P90x, dark pee" o was horrified what i started to read about rhabdomyolysis. I guzzled 2 bottles of water, and could barely pee. When i did i peed in a bottle so it wasn't diluted with toliet water.. i saw the super dar urine, i felt like I was a coca cola fountain machine... producing soda it was so dark. Went to the hospital and got on iv's for 5 days. Rhabdo mimics elevated liver enzymes, so i was told my liver was failing, and I may need a transplant. Thankfully a more experienced doctor set the ER doc straight. So be careful if you're told that with rhabdo. So anyway, im 33yrs old was active, ex military, did p90x before.. do a lot of labor intensive yard work, and I got rhabdo. My arms burn lifting them now (day 2 out of hospital). Where do i go from here? How do i know how much i can handle before worrying about rhabdo.. i never worried before. I think my mistake was first, pushing myself to my breaking point on day one, and then still exercising day 2 and 3, while being sore....
Hi I was also in intensive care with rhabdomyolysis and was on ventilator and induced coma. 11 months later still very very sore with muscle pain . Does it ever get better the muscle pain and soreness almost has to be related to the rhabdomyolysis but doctors say I should be fine by now. Thank you
Hi Eneree, My name is Auston. I also got Rabdomyolysis from being stressed and strep throat. I've been experiencing the same symptoms you've mentioned except for the chills.
I was 23 when I got rhabdo too. I had it in October. Have you noticed any symptoms since having it?
I was Dx with Rhabdo after a 14 hour spinal surgery ( crush injury ). My levels of CPK were as high as 79,000! I spent 5 days in ICU, and another 10 on a regular floor. I'm now 6 weeks post surgery and still have terrible thigh and chest ms pain. Sound familiar to anyone???
Hi, wondering if you found any treatments for your husband?! We are going through the same thing!
Hi sorry you are going through this I'm a year after going through rhabdomyolysis. Was very sick. Still have severe weakness and pain in the muscles. Does he have similar symptoms? My doctor's think I'm nuts.
I’m wondering if you have found any answers for your pain. I experience pain and weakness in my leg also. I’ve had no answers after 3 yrs and 3 Rhabdo occurrences. Just had a deep muscle biopsy done to see if I have underlying conditions.
I have had 3 bouts of Rhabdo and also have pain and weakness in my leg. I saw a neuromuscular Dr and just had a muscle biopsy to see if there’s any underlining condition that’s causing it but he doesn’t know why I’m stilll having pain.
I’m sorry to hear about your ordeal with rhabdo. My daughter is 14 and got rhabdo this year . It has been a difficult road to recovery with no specialists in the area that we know of. Would you be able to recommend your specialist from Calufornia? It would be great to speak with a professional that has experience with this. Thank you!
I had Rhabdomyolysis around Christmas time. And I also have experience horrible memory problems. I had been thinking that that whole year took place 2 years ago. Until I was able to go back into my photos and start pinpointing things. I have been trying to eat a healthy diet and stay active, my memory has been improving a lot the past two weeks. But the past 3-4 months have been a struggle to remember my daily routines and things that used to interest me. Luckily things are getting better.
my son is 6 years old and he has suffered from rhabdo 2 times in 4 months the first time he had strep and this time it was influenza b every time he gets sick he goes into rhabdo he plays football and this never happened is this a disease? Or what is is Dr's have no solid answers....
I had the exact same thing to me. We did 100 jump squats and I was in the hospital for a week and out of sports for 2 years. 7 years later and my legs still aren’t the same.
I had rhabdo back in Jan and I'm still suffering from muscle pain and weakness. Although I didn't suffer from much memory loss, I do have issues focusing on things now...
I was diagnosed with Rhabdomyolysis back in Jan of 2018 and my levels were over 250k. Was urinating what looked like black tea. Spent a week in the hospital before i was released. Now months later, I'm still experiencing muscle pain that just won't go away (although its not as severe). I also find it hard to focus on anything ever since.
