hello. I was rx'd methadone for pain relief 3 months ago by my pain mgt doc. I was taking 20 mg per day. Last week i decided that the side effects were just too much for me and up and quit cold turkey. Its now on day 7 and i actually feel okay despite severe anxiety. Before i was put on methadone i had a script for lorazapam but had to give it up while i was taking methadone. Would it be okay for me to take 1mg of lorazapam for my anxiety or is it still too early in withdrawal?
id b so careful if you already know it interacts...I had such an interaction taking two together I was in a state id pyschosis for 4 days with no memory at all of what took place. Scary. I was in ER..they said I overdosed my methadone..i did not. Gave me narc n detoxed me. While I was in they gave me both lorezpam n methadone by IV...it took a toxocologist to figure out why I went literally nuts n placed inpatient. They literally almost put me on psych floor. I was missing days at a time. After I stopped..i had zero issues. If you are having issues..dont mess with it..its not worth it.
