I have been informed that I have a lump on my voice box, and they want to drain the cyst to make it go away. I am not sure how I feel about this procedure, but my feelings definitely do not including sheer joy. Is this going to be very painful? Is it really necessary or are there other things that I could try?
As far as I understand, cysts do not just go away on their own. If you keep delaying the treatment that your doctor recommended, your condition might stay the same, or it might be aggravated more and more and you might end up with permanent damage. I suggest that you read up on the procedure you are having planned, but take your doctor's recommendations.
OK, I guess you are right and that I should thank you for the reality check. I do want to go back to normal and be rid of the problems with my voice and with eating. Does anyone have any links or other info about how cysts are removed, and to help me feel better about the whole thing? Thank you in advance.
