I have lupus and I have had a cold for 8months coughing up yellow-green mucus and my primary doc cant figure out what is wrong....does it have anything to do with my lupus?

First of all Lupus is autoimmune disorder and this means that your own body is fighting against you by attacking healthy cells and tissue. It can affect any part of your body, and this includes lungs as well. I can’t figure out why your doctor didn’t send you to additional testing?
Ask from him additional tests and analysis or just change the doctor because suffering from cold which lasts 8 months is way too much even if you have Lupus. And yellow mucus usually means that your body is fighting against some type of infection but yellowish color means that the infection has come to the end.
