no, it erraticates them completely. It does for me. I wish it wasn't true but it is. Works like a charm.does using medical marijuana make hot flashes or mood swings worse than normal?

I'm 49 and have found for the last six months that smoking pot in a small amount greatly relieves my peri-menopausal symptoms. The hot flashes decrease and the moods even out, and the nausea that had me not wanting to eat fades. Honestly, if it wasn't for a little smoke I wouldn't leave the house some days - I'm just miserable without it.

I am 44 yrs old and the hotflashes, migranes and nausea associated with perimenopause are completely debilitating for me, but especially the hot flashes. I have had some that were so severe that I have seen steam coming out of every oriface of my body and thought I was giong to burst into spontanious combustion! I have delt with hormonal issues most of my life and the hot flashes started for me in my mid 20"s. I too have found that the only way to really control any of these symptoms is through the use of marijuana. I didnt like the idea of smoking at first because of an increased risk of cancer, but medidally accepted hormone therapy drugs can cause cancer at a must quicker rate... It starts as breast cancer but quickly spreads to the lungs even if you dont smoke. I know of a few women that this has happened to and the sad thing is the drugs didnt do much good in the meanwhile. I am in michigan and wonder... does anyone out there know of a doctor to see so I can be able to get marijuana legally to control these terrible hot flashes? I am at the end of my rope and am basically living as a shut in at this point!
