there is absolutely no evidence or record of anyone ever having died from marijuana use and it is medically impossible to overdose from it. also it is not physically addictive. the only exception to someone having a heart attack or dying from it would be in the case of an allergic reaction, or it was tainted with a stimulant. What marijuana can do however, which may be a concern for some individuals is that it can cause a sudden, rapid drop in blood glucose levels which will lead to heart palpitations, feeling flushed, sweating, nausea, etc just like what someone with diabetes or hypoglycemia would occasionally experience when their sugar drops , so if anyone has issues with their blood glucose levels they should exercise extreme caution while using marijuana. Always try to eat something first and never use it right before or after taking insuline

I suffered terrible hot flashes.  I don't think they could have been any worse.  I literally had a hot flash every 5 minutes, and these were really sweaty....i had to go to bed with a roll of paper towels to dry myself off in the night.  I didn't sleep for over 3 months when menopause first started.  I put on 30 pounds although I was not eating.  I really was off my rocker.  I was not wanting to go anywhere because lack of sleep and the constant hot flashes made it hard for me to form a sentence when speaking with anyone.  I had company come visit and I smoked a joint with my company and had the 1st good night sleep in over 3 months.  I have been using marijuana for hot flashes ever since.  It has saved my life!!  What I am curious about is if the FDA approved pill Marinol.....for cancer and aid patients mainly, (synthetic THC) could be prescribed for women suffering hot flashes?  This would be a real big deal for many women  if it works for that.  A benefit being that you do not have to damage your lungs to be rid the hot flashes.  I've been through a lot in my life and the hot flashes for me so far have been the worst thing I have ever experienced.  Mom of 4

I'm 52 yo female and just entered menopause about 6 months ago.  I'm married to a cranky 58 yo man and have three children with minimal drama.  I used to smoke marijuana in my early twenties through late 30s, but stopped because it became a problem not remembering things and would forget what I was talking about, or where my keys were and such.  I stopped because although I enjoyed it, it was causing a problem and being that I like control, I had to stop just got tired of it ( I smoked like 3x/day).  The strangest thing happened about 3 years ago, I found some weed in my son (who's an adult) left at my house and thought that it would not hurt to smoke a little for fun.  Well, I guess you know where this is going - I started and don't want to stop, now.  I'm usually calmer and more fun and have a better time going to sleep and sure sex is always better with it.  Just not sure if it helps with the hot flashes which I experience from time to time.  But, I have a cranky husband who drives me crazy now with nasty messages and his attitude on a daily basis, he's always wondering where I am and if I go shopping or whatever, like the other day I went to checkout a college and because I was engaged with the process, I didn't think to call, so he just had a fit when I came back home.

Here's my problem, I need to pass my piss test sine I'm looking for a job which most of the jobs I apply to want a piss test and I've already failed one thinking I could beat the test about a year ago.  I want to smoke so bad but my husband does not like that I want to smoke so much. And he doesnt want me to get it to spend the money on it.  He controls it when I was getting it and that would drive me crazy cause I would always have to ask for it.  Bummer and he'd sometimes say no (control).   He totally drives me crazy because he's a slob, leaves filth all over the house in every room and his feet stink which he does not like when I complain - says I'm using this as an excuse to put him down (cause I did that when I cheated on him about 6 years ago and now I'm paying the dear cost of it).  I know I was wrong.  I had gotten so frustrated with our marriage, lack of sex and constant arguments that I started thinking about leaving and jumped on the first (young) guy who wanted to have sex with me.... yea, I know.. but I thought I was leaving.  Well, the problem is that I told him everything, yea, how it happened and exactly what we did and the guys size.  My husband loves me alot, but I've put him through so much.  What I've come to realize is that we are very different people and physically my husband just does not take care of himself and I married him cause I was in love and thought he would be great for a family.  Anyway, that's some of the background, but back to the marijuana... I'm caught between wanting to smoke, a husband who doesn't understand me, especially with the mood swings and wanting to have control of my life again while going through menopause, and I have no one to talk to about it.  And here's the catcher, because my husband is so cranky, he makes me crazy even when I smoke which is like blowing the high cause I can't enjoy it without having to go through an argument, which he thinks is the reason I'm so cranky, but it's my reacting to him that' causing the problem.  I still want to smoke, and it does help my menopausal symptoms.  Does anyone have any ideas?  I'm on my 4th day of sobriety and it's killing me (I'm not trying to quit, I just need to pass a piss test whenever that is).  Your thoughts?

I have been using marijuana exclusively as my hot flash remedy since having emergency hystorectomy 10 years ago! I'm trying to locate studies regarding medical marijuana efficacy.  I'm interested in writing the study.  If anyone's read any, please reply. If you are conducting a study please contact me; I'd like to participate.

I would be very interested to see the data supporting your statement about heart attacks & pot. While it is well known that it increases heart rate, I have never heard of it causing heart problems of any kind, during sex or otherwise.

I can't remember things, I sweat off and on, I am bitchy one minute then sad the next, my thoughts border on illusion, and I get upset easily, I have OCD and I feel guilty all the time. Those were my symptoms two years ago until I was introduced to the 'leaf'. That wonderful leaf has not only saved my physical aliments but it has increased my mental abilities substantially. I was so scared at first because I was such a good christian missionary, but I knew the dangers of the pharmaceutical industry, the pill pushin doctors. Relief for me cannot come with such a high cost! I learned the different ways to ingest the cannabis I have completed papers on the performance of this wonderful leaf. I continue to advocate for you and everyone else across the globe. Marijuana laws have to change and we are the ones that can do it right?! I mean everyman knows the scorn of a menopausal wife! :D Love Peace

When you have everything removed it can be worse than just going through natural menopause. You don't easy into it. It's just gone. Hormone levels just drop off and that is why all of the terrible symptoms.
