Yes it can. Quit smoking it and you will see. I have quit a few times and every time I start up again, about one month into it I get violently sick. I would recommend to either quit completely or only smoke every once in awhile.

Man, I am having the same issues. I am thinking it is hydro as opposed to schwag. When I smoked regular weed for 12 years, I did not have this issue. I had my stomach scoped, and my esophagus was bleeding, and my entire stomach and duodenum were highly inflamed. They still are! Even after potent stomach meds. I will try the quit thing, but my stomach was worse after going all day without smoking.

My adult son had chronic stomach problems for years that he thought marijuana helped. I finally convinced him to go through the 2 -3 week withdrawal which is real..land not fun. He no longer has stomach issues...
I am not passing judgement and my other adult children smoke it. It is the cause of your problems if you have been chronically smoking for years...

I took a shower one evening and started throwing up. Like my problem your friend had had a problem that occurred while he got high, one has nothing to do with the other. That is an opinion from a 45 year smoker.

okay so I hope you know it's not weed being bad it's that your friend has an allergy to marijuana. I a medium/heavy smoker also has an allergy to weed. So don't freak out and blame it on the weed. Blame it on your friend being allergic like me

I've smoked off and on for over 25 years and never had this problem till recently. Judging by most of the ages of the commentators it seem to me it's the weed not a stomach issue . Possible it's laced with something now that it's legal the several states there's no tell how industry is manipulating it . It took years before the public found out Tabbaco companies were manipulating the amount of nicotine in their cigarettes. Thus making it more addictive. Not out of the realm of possibility that these new growers are doing the same with THC levels or worse. My advise is grow your own or stop smoking it .

Smoking marijuana does worsen digestive issues and smoking in general can cause a hiatal hernia which is probably the upper stomach pain you are feeling, possibly ulcers, too. See a GI doctor.

I suffer from this too. I believe it is likely due to swallowing minute amounts of smoke during inhalation. The smoke cannot escape the digestive tract and damages the lining of the stomach. It is also relevant that I have been diagnosed with H. Pylori. This is a very common bacteria that lives in many people 's stomachs and causes chronic reflux. This can only be treated with a long-term antibiotic regimen. This regimen has failed to treat mine. However, I quit smoking for 6 years without symptoms, but as soon as I started smoking again, my reflux returned.
