I've had 2 abortions that went well. The 3rd I was clawing up the wall like a frightened cat.

All pain was on the table during the abortion. It hurt right as the doctor started. I tried 2 b calm. Just breathe nitrous.

The doc said lots of blood clots. The pain got worse and worse. He said I would have had a miscarriage. (What?) I started dropping f-bombs and ripped the finger monitor thing off. I can't even explain how much that hurt. The doc and nurse had to keep me on the table. I barely made it through. After-- dizzy, gagging, dry heaving. I left the clinic asap. Walked past my boyfriend w/out a glance and right out the door. He said I looked like I was in shock.

How could the doc predict a miscarriage?
Just how big are blood clots?
Did I do any damage by squirming?
Sorry so wordy but I'm curious what this was all about?

Worth mention. This pregnancy was bad. 7 weeks I felt very sick around the clock. I even stopped eating because I knew it wouldn't stay down.

Hi: When your doctor had opened your cervix he would have seen that your fetus was ripping from the uterus - this is what I think was going on, and this is why he said you would have had a miscarriage. So he would have had to do some cortorizing etc, so you didn't bleed. Blood clots are the size of a pin right up to the size of a grown mans fist!!!!!!

So with you having 3 abortions, there might have been scar tissue or damage. I knew a girl that had 4 abortions, and the doctor that did the last one, knew just how many she had, and stated that if she came in for another one they would sterilize her. So the blood clots, could be from scar tissue from your other abortions. Either way an abortion is either surgically or medically taking the fetus/embryo away from the uterine wall. I AM very worried about any future pregnancy you might have. Due to the fact this one was so bad for you, it could have and I dare say probably has done more damage to your womb. If you are having abortions for birth control, then this could be life threatening for you. But most women have abortions for different reasons - viability, extreme sickness, baby had died, their lives were in danger, and then there are obviously financialy and relationship issues.

Your doctors should have discussed ALL of the risks with you about repeat abortions. IF there is nothing else too be done then that is one thing, but they should have covered it with you. So from you description I would say that what he told you is correct, and IF there is damage from this one, there is no way of telling if it was from the abortion itself or from you writhing. I hope you feel better soon. And good luck in the future.
