There's many threads around the net of people reporting that their acne is related to masturbation. This one for instance:  https://www.steadyhealth.com/Masturbation_acne_in_males_does_exist__t119084.html

My relation is a bit different though, as for me masturbation directly correlates to my outburst of atopic dermatitis and dry skin on my chest, as well as percieved levels of inner energy.

My question is though, as much as my outburst of red itchy spots beyond all doubt correlates to how much I've masturbated the previous days (tested over long periods of abstinence and indulgence respectively), there is still a possibility that my percieved rise in levels of energy can be a placebo-effect. And how am I going to know this? All over the world there are people reporting the same thing. Rise in levels of energy, brighter thinking, more creative power and a stronger urge to get things done! Napoleon Hill talked about it in his "Think and Grow Rich" in the chapter "Transmutation of Sexual Energy." Yogi's and many cultures of the east talk about it. But is it all a placebo? Is it really? It sure can be, cause a placebo can be very strong. But how are we going to find out?

How do you rule out the possibility of a placebo here?

NB: Now don't get caught off track in this thread, I only want to discuss how we can find out if this is a placebo or not. How to set up the right experiment. I don't want wishy washy discussions or people testamenting that it helps their acne or that they feel a rise in energy. That is all very good, but you can do that in the refered to thread instead.. I want to get down to the bottom, to see unmistakable facts on paper.
Just noticed this might be posted in the wrong section.. maybe a moderator can move it to Skin Conditions or something instead?
