Hi!  The above comments are all good advice.  I started with width and switched to depth later.  The main additional point I can give is to start SMALL for depth.  Something 1" diameter and 12" long is good.  Also, you need lube past the inner ring to really do depth well.  I use a 10" dildo with small tubing through the middle and a syringe connected to the end.  It lets me inject 10-12 ml of j-lube at depth.  Things got much easier after I started using it.   Finally, poppers relax the involuntary muscles to let you insert deeper and easier.

Anal insertion is something you need to train your body into. Don't dare trying to insert an 18" dildo as an experiment. You will tear something where band aides won't help. I recently purchased a couple of soft, non-latex, double ended dildos to experiment with deep penetration. Actually I first purchased an 18" toy that was about 2 inches across and has ribs all the way along for texture. Let me just say that as a beginner this was too much. I have had 25" dildos up my ass until I hit the bottom of the ascending colon. I got kind of bored with that because the diameter was too small and it was too slick. Give yourself an enema and add some hydrogen peroxide, water, and aloe vera or olive oil or something.  Then the hydrogen peroxide will kill germs and heal any tissues it comes in contact with.  I'd also use Distilled Water heated in the microwave as tap will give you a bad feeling and headache from the chemicals.  Just fill yourself up a couple times and releave yourself until your completely empty and clean.  Then just wait until you have to go to the restroom before putting anything up there so to give time to heal.  I'd say do it once a day for a couple days until your feeling good again and your #2's are normal again.  lol

Someone posted to use Hydrogen Peroxide in your ass.  Just so you know, high concentrations of H2O2 destroys healthy tissue with the infection.
