Thanks CariFairy. I am slowly coming to terms with the idea that if I am pregnant I will go through with an abortion. Things haven't changed since two months ago, I still am not ready for a child. It's very difficult to stop thinking about this, my sore breasts and cramps for the past week wont let me. I am scared about going throught with this procedure again so soon after the last but that's my choice.
Even though I wish no woman had to go through this, it's comforting to know that other people have lived through it and are ok.

You are correct ZOE, women do it everyday and they are okay =)
If the clinic that you went to last time did not offer 'asleep' sedation, you could always go to a clinic that does. It definately makes the whole experience better, surgery is surgery, it is better when knocked out.

Yes, when I did it I was sedated and I really apprciated having the option to do so. It was a bit disconcerting to wake up groggy but I would choose to be sedated again. I was thinking about doing a medical abortion since I figured it would be easier to cope with (they say it feels like a natural misscarriage) but it's so much more expensive. I didn't realize this. You mentioned earlier that you work part time for a clinic, what do women say about the medical abortion?
Again thank you for your help and support. I am glad I decided to post in this forum.

The good things about medical abortion is that it is private..
Cons: You will bleed heavily, GUSHY even, and it is quite painful. It will feel like a miscarriage, but a bit worse because you are taking medications to induce contractions. The contractions last about 4 hours on average, and most women do not realize how long the medical abortion takes. It is 50/50, many women say they wished they would have known how much med abortion would 'suck'.(That is the term they used)
I have had one med and 2 surg abortions, I highly reccomend surg even though the grogginess was not fun.

Well that sounds a bit scary. I was a bit surprised when I asked the clinic about it the first time, they really don't encourage women to do it and it's so much more expensive. It just seems so hard to go back to the clinic and do the whole waiting room and waking up groggy and just all that. I can't complain though the clinic was great and physichaly I felt pretty normal that same night. Sorry I feel like I'm talkig to myself, it's just so hard to talk to other people that don't know how an abortion feels and much less two. It's like I can't be around people b/c I can't pretend things are ok but at the same time I'm afraid of being alone. I know this is a health forum but talking here has made it more bearable. Thanks for listening (well, reading :-)
YOU'RE WELCOME!
Yeah, a lot of clinics discourage medical abortion because it is not as easy as it was first hyped up to be.
Some women NEED that private experience, like after a rape, or other sexual abuse/assualt, they do not want 'all that going on down there'. They want to feel more in control, and that is understandable..
That is why I am so open, because I could not find anyone to talk about abortion with, especially people who 'knew' it personally. I do get a lot of flack, but it is worth it.

I am 24 years old with 2 children under two years of age, and I just found out that I'm pregnant again. My appointment to get an I.U.D had to be postponed due to infection so my ob/gyn gave me birth control pills which obviously didn't work.I am only 3 weeks pregnant and I already made an appointment at an abortion clinic. My body is tired and I can barely handle these two babies.I love them both and I'm thankful for them and I came this decision based on their needs too not just mine!
I am sorry your body is so tired, that does tend to happen in early pregnancy.
I am sorry the pill did not work, BUT THE IUD is awesome, so maybe you can still use it later! =)
