I had twins almost 11 months ago via c-section. I'm cramping right now and it feels like full contractions. It hurts so much I just lay down and cry. Doesn't anyone know why yet?

I hope you got the help you needed. If not I I have a remedy. I went through the exact thing. I take a table spoon of apple cider vinegar in 4 ounces of warm water two days I'm suppose to start and I do that everyday till I'm done with my period. It does wonders, has helped and shorten my periods. I now drink it everyday. Hope this helps

Limit your food intake for the first few days. Its better to feel hungry than go through labor in my experience. It helps me with the contractions and throwing up part. I still feel like c**p, but I don't spend hours on the toilet just pushing and shaking and sometimes puking.

I have the same issues. I went to the doc for a different reason...could not use the bathroom, which made pain unbearable. Lots of testing later, I was offered several birth controls and hormones. I declined. They found endometriosis that spread through my abdomen, fibroids in and outside my uterus and cysts. I has ablasion, D & C, hysteroscopy...and it made everything worse. Nonstop pain and contractions through the whole month and 2 periods/month. After 1 last test, it came back as Pelvic Floor Dysfunction both vaginally and really accompanied with a rectocel (prolapse). Physical therapy was painful, but did ease a little bit of pain. I'm a trainer, so on my own, I found that if I lifted heavy weights before the onset of my periods, the contractions were less Intense. I also study diet and have tried all sorts of supplements, none were even slightly effective. Trigger pointing my psoas muscle during contractions helped me to function through the day. I now trigger point it daily, and it helps relieve the tension my body has when fighting the pain.

Hi I know this is an old post but I've experienced v similar problems. I gave up dairy this year (ruling out intolerance) and it made a huge difference. If that doesn't work try Tranexamicacid also made massive difference.

I had heavy period for years and eventually had a uterus ablation. This does not guarantee periods stopping - believe me, mine haven’t! When I asked the GP afterwards, he said there is no guarantee of anything with an ablation, so I don’t understand why I was encouraged to have one. I still have the heavy periods - have to wear an adult nappy due to major flooding, and now, after the ablation, suffer with labour-like contractions with vomiting, excruciating pain, even going into my chest, and the GP only gave me Ponstan, which does not work. I am beside myself with pain every month:(

Hi, I am 32, a female, and would like to know does taking slow magnesium helps with period pains during your cycle? My period pains are hectic, and I don't like taking strong pain meds. Thank you
