Me to. I'm having major pain. Like I'm in labor. First time I'm experiencing this. I just turned 33
Look up dysmenorrhea
I suffered from this when I was in my teens. I had to call off school once a month because I was just balled up in bed, I would vomit and sometimes have diarrhea. My doctor put me on birth control and told me to take 800 mg ibuprofen a few days before my period and during my period. This helped and then in my 20's I was off birth control but still relied on ibuprofen. It still was painful but not nearly as bad.
Now it has started again. But my issues have changed. Due to a blog clotting disorder I cannot take any hormones and since I am on blood thinners I cannot take ibuprofen. I am in my 40's and am done having children.
I also now have the issue of bleeding through my clothes. It has been hard to do anything and sometimes I have to call off work.
I have my period every 2 weeks at times.
I want a hysterectomy. I don't see what can help me other than a hysterectomy.
Any thoughts?

I have to reply, because ponstel (I believe it is the same as Ponstat) works! But I was flat on my back feeling loopy and sick from it. I am almost 50 and been going through the same labor pains for years. No real remedy yet. Hysterectomy, might work and I am of the age that I can do that. Hang in there girls! It has been suggested in the past to use birth control throughout the month and not have a period. Did that, again really felt ill. Lupron, when I was 36, worked! Do you really want to be in menopause at 36? Hot flashes, moody, and worse. Being perimenopausal, it was worse at 36. Tough choices. We need much more research and compassion from the medical community.
My best years were when I was pregnant or nursing. Thus the no period or hormone therapy and natural. Not that I would suggest that as the only alternative. Yes the suffering is real and you are not alone! Push your docs for answers and solutions! Peace!

Hello I'm 21 no kids but I'm experiencing the same exact thing and it hurts I've tried every alternative and the doctor won't even consult me about me taking out my uterus cause of major blood loss I'm at a end I can't take this pain anymore
I'm experiencing exactly what you have described too!
I've been going through the same thing. I even had to get blood transfusions.
I am going through the same issues. HELP!!!!
I'm going through the same. Lower back and abdominal pain feels like full blown labor!!! Heating pad, Tylenol 3 or hydrocodone ...
I'm having the same thing now. I always have really heavy, painful periods with enormous clots. My whole life they were irregular. Then for 6 months they were regular and not as heavy or painful... however. My last one was horrific, basically a murder scene in the bathroom. I was 5 days late and finally started out of nowhere just now. Pain is so excruciating. Labor pains in my right side. And my back. Along with horrible lower abdominal cramps. The labor pains feel like they are going into like my stomach too. I have been diagnosed with several doctors with suspected adenomyosis. Everyone on this thread sounds like they could have it. Especially if the doctors do test after test and can't find anything. It affects me all month for the most part with fatigue, hug pain, leg pain, groin pain, aching, cramps, the list goes on. Heavy abnormal bleeding is a huge sign. As well as the clots and passing large tissue.
Mitelschmertz is the phenomenon that some women can actually feel the egg being released from the ovary into the Fallopian tube. This happens approximately 2 weeks before the period, at the exact moment of ovulation. This would not be the same thing as labour type pains during your period. You either have not read the posts or do not understand a woman's monthly cycle.
My mom is a nurse and she says that if a woman is done having children for good and you are tired of having periods, you could ask your doctor about a procedure called an uterus ablazion where they remove the lining of the uterus so it doesn't build up again to start the period bleeding process, it is permanent.
I go through the same labor pains. My blood clots were the size of a golf ball. I was told to get my uterise out. I get the depo shot but it doesn't work. I am anemic and my iron will drop to 5. After being like this for 10 years I'll be having surgery.
I have same thing. 4 kids later and I'm on the floor crying in pain from cramps, and I had all mine naturally drug free and laughing while in labor. Anyway, my doc is sending me to a vascular surgeon to rule out congested pelvic syndrome. It is where varicose veins entrap your organs instead of being in your legs. I have a retroverted uterus, I didn't ever get the full baby bump, because my uterus was towards my back and all the weight and stretch was upward instead of outward.
