Monistat 1 burning

this is te WORST experience on my life this is the first time I have used monistat 1 and I'm telling you DO NOT use this product befor I had a bad irritating ich at first the product didn't bother me then it started to get uncomfortable and then that's when the burnning started. There was no relief I just wanted to curl up cry and die! It was HORRIBLE! I told my mom and she said to take a cold bath it helped a bit but the burnning cane back. I looked up on line my symptoms and found many women had the same problem. The best thing to do is get it out! And GET IT OUT FAST! Clean yourself out as much as possible in any way and take a cold bath. This helped me the burnning did not completely stop but it lessened a lot. To any one using this product right now GET IT OUT. Wether it is bothering you or not and to anyone who is thinking about using this product DO NOT DO IT!!!! It is much much worse that the original problem.

My best advice to any woman experienceing burning for monistat 1 is to get it out and get it out right away in any means necessary. After it is out clean out your vigina as best as you possibably can if you have a douch use it and after sit in a cold bath. After all this the burning will lessen. Be sure that you do get a hold of your doctor as soon as possible they will help you with any problems that may continue. But to every woman out there DO NOT use this product. It is not worth it what ever discomfort from a yeast infection you are feeling is a much better feeling than the feeling you get from this! I repeat DO NOT use monistat!!

I just used Monistat 1 for a very mild yeast infection and after about an hour i woke up with the worst burning of my life!! Only relief I am having is from putting small ice cubes into my vagina. Horrible product!!!!

I have used Monistat 1 a few times before and never had any problems. I got a yeast infection about a week ago and decided to try and treat it with yogurt. I used all natural goat's milk yogurt and that worked really well, but after a few days my vagina still felt a tiny bity itchy, so I decided to use monistat 1 as an extra precaution. I put it in around midnight and fell asleep, at 2am I woke up from the most horrible burning and itching I have ever felt down there. I put some of the external itch cream on, but that only made it worse. I went to the bathroom and washed everything off, but I was still burning. Then I decided to put more goat yogurt on because that really helped with the itching before. Lo and behold, the itching and burning subsided in about 5 minutes and I was able to fall back asleep. I will never take monistat again, I think I will use goat yogurt and garlic for any more vaginal yeast problem.

I used monistat maybe 4 hours ago and the outside and inside are burning very bad, I keep wiping thinking that it will get better but its not, put some powder on the outside about 10 mins ago, and felt some relief, but Im about to go get a douche from the drug store because I literally can not walk around and move because I AM SO FREAKING UNCOMFORTABLE ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. I THOUGHT MONISTAT WOULD WORK BETTER THAN ANYHTING. AND I ONLY USED ONE OF THE TUBES BECAUSE I FELT THE UPCOMING SIGNS OF AN INFECTION COMING AND THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT TO USE THIS ONCE. I WAS SO WRONG. I will never use this product again. I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF CALLING MY GYNO'S OFFICE LEAVING A MESSAGE IN THE GENERAL MAILBOX TO SEE IF THEY WILL CALL ME BACK TO BE SEEN ANYTIME TOMORROW. iM GOING TO HAVE TO CALL OFF WORK. IM 22 YEARS OLD AND HAVE NEVER EXPEREINCED ANY MEDICIATION WITH SUCH A HORRIBLE SIDEEFFECT, IT REALLY SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE SHELVES.

i just used monistat 1 and it burns a little bit but it is bearable...i'm thinking maybe its from me scratching the hell out of myself down there but i don't know i hope it goes away

Hello, I have had irritation/burning for over 2 years.. The doctors say it is some type of vulvodynia... I did research and am not on vagifem, which is a pill inserted vaginally.. It takes away the sy,ptoms, but still waiting for a cure... Hope this helps someone

Monistat 1 is very uncomfortable! I took it last night and I could not sleep! I sat in a tub of fresh water and I'm still burning, itching, and uncomfortable! This is not right! I'm going to the ER in the am. I would go now but I have my girls so I am suffering!

I had a minor yeast infection and have used Monistat in the past with no problems.  I used the 3 day treatment and as soon as I put it in I had HORRIBLE itching and burning.  I was almost crying it was so bad.  I douched with tap water to get all the cream out and felt much better after that but am still experiencing burning a few hours later.

Thank you sooo much for posting this remedy!!!! At nine months pregnant, I started to develop some irritation and itching, so I picked up Monistat at the drug store. After inserting it, I went to sleep, and got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I thought I was going to die. I have NEVER experienced that much pain in my whole life. How this product is still on the market is beyond me. I got on the computer and started to google anything to do with Monistat, that's when I read your post. At 2AM, I'm pulling into my 24hr Walgreen's to buy four douches. Worked like a charm, was able to sleep the rest of the night. Thank you!! I had no idea what to do.

I woke up this morning to the same thing - swelling - burning and when I sit down I am in such pain. The only comfort is lying down so I am not sitting on my "female area"& cool/warm baths which you are not to do when you have a yeast infection. I think this is a reaction to the Monistat 1 because it is such a strong dose in comparison to the 3 or 7 day options. Never again - I am miserable.

I used it a week ago and I'm felling the same I have even started spotting :-( I am doing the 7 day monistat because I felt like it did not work after this is done I will go to my gino terrible I need this to stop.. what can we do if it don't go away?

I'm on antibiotics so I have had a yeast infection before, I noticed I was getting another one. I went and bought he Monostat one and it started burning so bad it felt like my vag was on fire so I rinsed it all out and then have just been using yogurt instead and it has been working great! Also before when I had I insurance I was prescribed a one pill medicine that cured it, I don't re call the name but I'm sure your doctor would know.

It's been about two months of pain for me now too. Did it ever go away? Please, let me know! I'm going crazy.

I am also experiencing the burning from monistat 1. I've been up hours crying because of it when I too decided to Google it. I've got to go to work tomorrow and don't have time for this. I need to be sleeping. I'm going to try to get it all out of me as the last post described and sit in a cool bath. I know one thing.....I will NEVER EVER EVER buy this product EVER again!!!!!!!
