LADIES!!! I am on day 5 of Monistat 1. First, the first day you use the suppository, it will itch and burn like crazy. You will be uncomfortable, and it will suck, but trust me, bear through the itch and burn and you will notice it goes away. About five hours in, I thought I was going crazy, but by hour six, I was starting to feel better. I applied the cream daily, and wore a panty liner. Day 2 was so much better. I wasn't as itchy, but I did have a little bit of a burning sensation when I peed, which the directions said was completely normal. I noticed day 2-4, I would pee out either the left over suppository or dead yeast, so there's your fair warning. This is all normal. Also, use a soap that is for sensitive skin, and wash the left over cream/infection off of your body. Make sure you are clean! Here I am, day 5, no itch, no burn, peein normal, and I don't feel the use to use the cream, though I will probably use it the next two days just to follow up with what the directions say. I have read so many crazy reviews, but you have to remember that you are dealing with a fragile part of your body. Its not going to be pleasurable or enjoyable but I am here to let you know it truly does get worse before it gets better. Power through and may you come out itch/burn/pain free! Good luck.

I wish I googled Monistat 1 and came across of this site sooner. I used it 2 nights ago and experienced the worst burning ever. It's still burning. This morning I woke up with rash all over my body what made me start googling Monistat. Obviously, it's not out of my system yet. There should be a warning about this product. I didn't have a clue it could cause the allergic reaction and it seems they are many women out there that had the same or similar experience. Please spread the word!

I've been suffering while on holiday with a yeast infection, I finally broke down and used the Monistat 1 day ovule and cream.... It's worse the burning and itching is horrible, painful and I feel like I'm all swollen, not what I had planned for my 25 th wedding anniversary trip. I'm guessing and allergic reaction, if there's a chance women can end up this bad why are they still selling this product??? It's crazy!!!!

Are you still feeling the extreme burning or when did it finally go away? I had a bad reaction to Monistat 1 about 2 weeks ago and I'm still feeling some burning and irritation. I'm wondering when this is going to stop!

How is this product still on the market??? I purchased the one day ovule suppository and inserted this morning. I've been in burning pain for the last few hours. Taking a cool bath helped somewhat. Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing!

Thank you so much for the advice. I inserted a tube of Monistat 3 and immediately my vagina was on fire - severe itching and burning. I started crying and I don't even think my husband believed how much I was hurting til I was rolling around on the bed holding my crotch area.
I read your post and immediately douched. So it's been 30 minutes since my shower and douche. The itch and burn has subsided for the most part. All I'm feeling now is really sore and dry with a mild itch. I pray the burning doesn't start up again.
I will NEVER EVER use this product again.
Should this product be legal??

Omg, I thought maybe it was just me, but I had the same thing happen. I had started to get a yeast infection. I normally user the generic with the suppository. They didn't have it so I got monistat 3 and only had it with the cream filed applicator. Within 5 minutes it started burning. I thought it works ease after a couple minutes. It didn't, just continued to hurt even more. I finally decided to try getting it out in the shower and that had helped, but all burns some. I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep at all tonight. I will never use that again. I wish there was a way to get my money back. That was an awful experience!

I've had yeast infections before, but I seem to be getting them more frequently so I went to see my doctor. She perscribed me something stronger that's should hopefully help the problem. She asked me what I had been using to treat them and I told her the last thing I used was the one day monistat treatment. She told me that I should never use that and that it actually just burns the tissue down there to get the infection off the surface. It doesn't go deep enough to get rid of the infection and actually just causes you more pain. If you're going to use an over the counter yeast infection treatment, make sure it's a seven day, not the one or three!!!! I know it's a pain to have to use the treatment for a whole week but in the end it will save you a lot of pain and irritation!
