Monistat 1 - how long does it take to work? what is normal?

shheeeshhhh sorry to hear soo many complaints...I too tend to look down there with a mirror guess just to have piece of mind, ive seen way too many gross infection pictures in high school I guess. I had a minor yeast infection no itching or burning jus a little bit of discharge so i purchased monistat 1. I took it on Wednesday Night before bed, there was a LOTTT of "leaking" but it was only like that the first day and a half. I am now on Day 4 and my symptoms are gone. I had no bad reaction to it, it cleared my infection pretty fast. I havent had sex yet. but i dont see any white from the ovule inside of me. I had a good experience.

No, yeast is a fungus.

I had bleeding last time and was clean. I think it just got too bad before I went in.

That's not necessarily true, some people may think that it's being amplified but itching and burning is symptoms of using Monistat, so it may seem like it got worse when you used it but it's just the medicine.

But does this mean it's working or having a bed reaction to it. My first night of monistat 3 and the itching and burning have goten so much worse. I can't sleep. I don't know if it's gonna go away or I should stop using it.

Thank you for this bc I feel the same as you! It's been almost 48hrs for me and I haven't had any issues. There is still a little itchiness and burning upon wiping It nothing unbearable like before I started.

This is my 2nd yeast infecoin and I am using monostat 1 for the second time. It worked very well for me the first time. Myou first year infection got so bad, because I left it untreated for so long, I could not walk. Monostat 1 had it cleared up in less than a week. Mosteoporosis of these negative reviewside are mostly because people are not reading the information paper inside the box that warns you of possible burning. The longer you wait for treatment the more the treatment is going to hurt because your "area" is more sensitive and sore. My first time my pain was tremendously bad because so was my infection, this time I only felt a little discomfort.

Actually, it is normal for the treatment to amplify your symptoms. That doesn't mean it'll always happen or that it couldn't be something else, but every time I've had a yeast infection the treatment made it WAY worse and then it was better in a day or two. The inserts in that come with the treatments will tell you this, also.

I used it after a bath lotta weird white discharge little burn towards the back area but i have a high tolerence there so idk how do you know if you have a yeast or fungal infection ?

I am currently having the same problem. I wasn't having this problem before I inserted the medication.
