I had a hysterectomy at around 32 (uterus and cervix) due to pre cancerous growth. I am having increasingly bad cramps that last for two- three days through my abdomen, hips and back. My periods have always been rough and when brought up to my most recent gynecologist she laughed it off saying that the uterus isn't the only thing that cramped "down there". I have been doing labor breathing tonight to try to get through the pain that over the counter meds don't seem to touch. I would like answers as well. I can't imagine going through this 1-2 times a month for no reason.
OMG! Everything you described, I've been thru. I'm having the pains right now, but I've been to the ER so many time, I feel like they think I'm going for the drugs...anyway, it hurts to pee android cough. Let me know if you figure out what is going on with you, let me know.
Just saw a site about an ilogenial? Nerve that runs aound from your back (pain)to the addomin (pain) and it can get trapped in the scar tissue after hyster! Going to talk to dr.cuz there IS something wrong.
I have the same lower right abdominal pain, thinking the same, maybe appendix, then I think maybe urinary tract infection, but it is a stabbing pain, and very painful !
I too am suffering from severe pain and am scheduled for laparoscopy surgery. The Dr. says endo can grow on the bladder and on the scar so they are going to see if it has grown somewhere else. It's a nightmare!
Hello, Wow that's what my back Dr just told me, The pain is coming from my back nerve, into my right side groin area and hip it hurts severely, I feel like and old woman, I had my surgery 7 years ago and still feels like menstruation cramps.
I have read an article where the scar site contained endometriosis. The patient had further surgery to remove scar tissue and hence removing the endo and this worked.
Have same symptoms but only every few months. Possible cause is ruptured ovarian cyst - blood/fluid pools in the pelvic floor (as no Fallopian tubes or uterus to 'float' down) and this settles on pelvic floor nerve endings etc. crippling pain (can't stand upright) in the first day then tender ++ the next then by day 3 or 4 totally gone. Bloods reveal I am perimenopausal so likely I'm not ovulating every month. Treatment is to ceas ovulation. ie: hormones - am trying microlut (progesterone only) but have read this doesn't necessarily stop ovulation like oestrogen ???
(Note: I had an ultrasound the day after the crippling pain which confirmed I had ovulated so this seems the most feasible explanation)

I had a total hysterectomy in January and have worse cramps & pain now than when I did before.
I had a total hysterectomy 4 weeks ago, August 2, 2016. I still have my cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes and currently bleeding. Did anyone else have this problem?
If your ovaries are removed, you will immediately go into menopause. Doctors try to keep those in, unless they have to
I had pain on my lower right side. Hurt so bad I couldn't sleep on that side. I just had my hysterectomy about five weeks ago and haven't felt it since my surgery was done. My doctor told me it was because of my fibroids and needed to go ahead and get my surgery over with. I would also would get terrible back spasms so bad it sent me to e.r. I eventually was put on muscle ralaxers to relieve the pain.
Sweetie, you were 47 at the time you wrote this and your Dr is telling you it can't be menopause? Sounds like you needed to switch to a gyno that actually knows the female body. Hope it worked outfor you. I know this is old.
I too have this horrible pelvic pain about every three months. I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago & I have been having these pains for the last 2-3 years but it seems to be more frequent & painful. I do still have one ovary. It does seem like I would be ovulating & very bloated and that it would be a cyst that is causing the stabbing pain. Pain last 2-3 days. I guess I need to make an appt,. I haven't been to my gynecologist in over 2 years. Thanks for sharing your experiences and hoping you find some relief!
