Hi, I have read many peoples problems with mortons neuroma surgery. I just wanted to say I am glad I am not alone on this one, I had two mn removed from left foot in january and one mn from the right foot, I still cant drive my car and still cant walk very far, havent returned to work due to the severe pain some days! I thought it was just me so I am relieved to see it isnt! I was told recovery would be 6 weeks and return to work, when i saw the radiologist for my third lot of jabs, after surgery, he said I am one of the unlucky ones, looking on here, it seems I am not alone. I now have to sign on disability and just prey it will not be much longer. I dont think I will ever be able to drive my manual car again, anyone got any good news for me?? ha ha I see also that people feel depressed, I too, sometimes feel depressed, unable to work, unable to drive, unable to walk very far and I am only 45!! hopefully I have some years left in me yet, maybe we are all impatient, I feel that you should be warned that you could be off work for a year before your feet fully heal, my job was on my feet all day, couldnt possible do that now!!! :-(
Hi angie. Thanks for posting your experience here and I hope that a lot of people can learn from your experience because I think that it's helpful to know the full story. Can you tell me a little more about it? What are you doing now since you cannot go to work? I would like to hear about how this has changed your quality of life because I think it might help people who are considering the surgery. Thanks!
