My daughter is 21 Months and has always had bowel problems,,, Ie Took her a week for meconium to start took 2 days to pass it then wouldnt poo for days at a time now she poos every other day but Strains for about 15 minutes and all that is in her nappy is a few tiny pebbles What could this be????

sarah...what is she eating??? are you feeding her apple sauce ??? have you given her any meds ? anti biotics etc.... if so, her "good Bacteria " could be gone....and she could verywell need pro biotics.... I am a grandmother, and I used the homemade formula w/ my children... and grandchildren.... karo corn syrup...will help also....marietta

Can you tell us more about the food that your daughter is eating? She is in age where she is able to eat normal food and have no problem with it. What kind of problems did she had with bowels? The thing is that bowel problems are usually caused by food that you eat but in some causes this can be caused by other things. I think that this might be caused by intestinal worms. Did you test here for intestinal worms? If not you should take her to the hospital and see if this might be the problem. I hope that this will help you in any way and your daughter wont’ have these problems any more.

I'M 55 & have same problem, I take probiotics, fish oil ,many supplements & every morning use my Nutri- bullet with 3 different greens & @ least 5 to 6 different fruits. My Natropath did exstensive blood work & found out my red blood cells are very low. He says I'm not absorbing anything I take probiotics, calcium, (my osteoarthritis is getting worse too) my chronic pain is worth than ever, he said my body if trying to fight some type of infection so nothing I take works. I will be have more testing but I'd recommend you ask your daughter's physician to do her CBC'S. start there to make sure nothing inside is n&ot infected, I will say some prayers for your little one, I bet she cries & you don't know why......she's in pain causes she can't poop. How is her appetite? Poor?
