Hi Everyone!!!

I have been taking Metermine(cheap duromine) for 3 weeks now and have noticed drastic results!! I started out 174cm 21YO weighing 116kg and am down to 103kg.

My First week I lost 6 KG and all up I have now lost 13 KG. I have been very careful about what I eat and drink, maintaining a 1100-1200cal diet, and let myself have one day with an extra 300 cal so I wont give up. I increased my exercise but not by that much as I found lots of exercise was the only thing that was making me binge eat!

What got me on Metermine was I got a gym membership and started exercising 4 times a week and was eating really well but I still just couldn't lose the weight. I found that the cost and the limited time I can be on this drug really gave me the inspiration I needed to really make a change. I've noticed in the last few days that I have completely kicked my soft drink addiction and also I can't stomach chocolate which to me means that even if I gain weight back I have made improvements!

Hoping to get under 100KG before the end of the 1st month, then under 90 in the second month. I'm planning to take metermine every 2nd to 3rd day for the 3rd month and I hope that will help me keep the weight off! Anyone with any tips should share!!!

Breakfast-100g Muesli 371cal& White coffee with full cream milk and two sugars.
Morning Tea- Apple and 600ml water
Lunch- cheese and ham toasted sandwich 600ml water

I cut the shakes out because i did'nt feel like dinner and I know I have to eat something.

I started Duromine 30mg about 2 months ago now with a starting weight of 80kg. The first month was great, I had loads of energy, was waking up early everyday to go walking before breakfast etc. I did notice little changes in my personality too, not necessarily good ones either. I was definitely feeling more confident in myself and I had really great days, however I tended to have some bad days too where I would get pretty snappy at people for no reason and I knew I was doing it too so I often found myself apologising.

The second month wasn't so great. I found myself tired all the time, my muscles were really weak so I struggled to do my exercise routine often. I had trouble eating breakfast for a while as well. It was horrible, I would wake up in the morning, take my pill with some water and then wait the half an hour for food only to find my stomach cramping up and feeling sick straight afterwards. I managed to overcome that problem from a helpful hint online where I read that a lady would drink some milk with her tablet to line her stomach, as I'm lactose intolerant I drank almond milk instead which worked just as well. I've just finished my second month now and am at 69kg so far. I've decided to hold off on the third month of Duromine as I'd like to get my health back up in to shape, I have to admit I'm worried to find out how I'm going to go without the tablets as I haven't felt that hungry feeling in a while since trying this medication. Luckily I don't have too much to go as my goal weight is 64-65kg which is well within reach!

Wish me luck!

The doctor that prescribed you Duromine should be struck off the medical register! 160cm and 54 kg!!! Ridiculous!

I was on 15mg for 2 weeks and then 30mg for 1 week. The side effects were bearable until I changed to 30mg then within a couple of days I started getting welts and a rash and couldn't stop scratching so had to stop them.  I weigh 93kg and am going through menopause.  I lost a kilo over the first 2 weeks and put a kilo back on the third week!  I was eating about 800 calories a day, walked each day and went to the gym twice a week.  My doctor told me to go off them for a week and see what happens (re the rash).  It disappeared the next day.  I am so desparate to lose weight but get so frustrated when I diet and don't lose weight.  Menopause sucks!  Now I don't know whether to go back on them or not.

Iv been using duromine 30mg for 4 days now. Starting weight 97.7 kg- todays weight 92.8! and no..im not kidding myself!. I really dont think many people who have struggled with weight issues and have turned to duromine, are "kidding themselves", as you so lightly put it, about their weight loss journey!. Also, fair enough 104 kg is a reasonable weight for duromine use, but 67 kg...??? thats not right, and im sure a good GP would agree. It wouldnt be doing her any favours, only stuffing around with her metabolism. Big people already have bad metabolisms so they havent got anything to lose..other then weight. Anyone whos been using duromine, coupled with healthy eating and excersize, that hasnt seen weight loss results of any kind after a week, probably need to duscuss this with their GP's.

Hey guys! Reading this thread has been great motivation for me :) I'm 158cm, 80kgs female. I've always been on the chubby side but most of my life always thought "yeah if I wanted to lose it I could easy!" Well I tried and spent thousands on pt, gym, detoxes, diets etc. my problem is I'm impatient and when I don't see results get easily discororouged. My diet is usually pretty good but the last few months I've become addicted to redbull, needing 3-4 cans a day just to get me through work. I became lethargic and just down right lazy. I started duromine 40mg yesterday. I took it first thing in the morning and felt pretty good. I was so thirsty by 10am I had already drunk 8 pints of water! More than I usually drink a day! Although just after lunch I felt a bit dizzy and by dinner time I felt really slow. I ended up in bed by 7pm and was in and out of sleep all night. This morning I woke up at 5 and dozed back to sleep, woke up at 6 and jumped out of bed like I had had the best nights sleep. I was a bit scared to take it again but I know my body just needs to adjust. So I took my 2nd one straight away. Got out of the house super early and even had brekky before work! Had a light lunch of salad with salmon and dinner was still a bit naughty as we had no groceries got some butter chicken, I didn't even touch the rice and feel so full! Tonight I'm meal planning so I can have a healthier dinner tomorrow. I really hope this goes well for me, it's hard being the obese kid when your other 2 siblings are actual models :/ apart from that I would love to wear my first bikini at the ripe age of 30 (next year) and just to have a better sense of pride in myself. I wish everyone on their weightloss journey the best and I'll def be back to update on my weightloss!
