Investigate having a Prostrate Artery Embolism done. Does wonders. Not a surgery. Done through the arteries. Recover it a rough for two weeks then good to go.

I had urolift procedure two years ago. It has been the worst experience I ever had. My symptoms went from bad to worse. Urinating is extremely slow, only dripping with help of a dose of flomax. Amount of urine voided is extremely small. Burning and pain is often. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this procedure is you still want to have a normal life.
I had your lift system done it failed all for Staples are floating around in my body somewhere that x-rays to prove it
I had the urolift procedure done 2 years ago since then my urolift procedure failed 6 months after I had it done I had X-rays taken and the Staples pulled completely through my prostate they are floating around Inside Me Now near the prostate when they pulled through it felt like I had been electrocuted my advice is not to have it done so far they are not causing any problems even though they're not in my prostate I don't know if I will have to have surgery later on to have them removed
I had it. No problems from the procedure but not a bit of change in my frequency and urgency. Exactly as it was. It is as if I never had it done. It was supposed to solve all the problems. I had hope. It was worthless. After all the pitching for it suddenly they had not much to say. Funny, before I had it done I researched the hell out of it and the only thing I kept finding was rave reviews. Everybody loved it. I had not found this place yet. As I look down these posts from all you other guys, I had to laugh to see I am not the only one. Looks like there are a lot of sad faces all here in the same sad boat.
For sure, the worst optional medical decision I have ever made. Done in Pasadena by my regular urologist, and the cost was about 14K, which insurance paid two-thirds of. Absolutely nothing changed - getting up a few times every night, post urination dribbling, slow flow. And one negative result is now in my life - increased urgency when I do have to urinate. Not good when you are at a Dodger game, buried in the stands. It irritates me that this site is the only one I have found where I can voice my frustration. All other site are Filled with positive comments and I know that a lot of these testimonials have to be mostly BS. SS in SM
I too made that decision. After 2 weeks, I have regrets. Blood clots, catheter, pain is subsiding but still getting up 2-3 times in the night. I am a very active person. I was told yesterday that I need to avoid exercise for the next 6 weeks. The reason I had it done in the winter was because my provider said I wouldn't have to miss my outdoor activities due to our bad winter. Now when I question the issues I'm having the comment is "well this happens on occasion." Very disappointed and frustrated.
I had the Urolft procedure do e by the first doctor in Noryh America do do them. He is also the doctor that has done the most Urolift procedures in North America. It never helped me at all. Plus it was the most painful procedure I've ever had. I am still on meds, but have found out that watching what I eat and drink makes the most difference.

I had the Urolift done 12 days ago and I can tell you so far the experience has been terrible. When the procedure was complete thay ask me to pee and I couldn't only small amounts of blood. They put a catheter in me, very painful, and sent me home and told me to come back in three days to have the catheter removed. I have the catheter removed and went home thinking e everything was okay. Well I could not pee only very painful drops of blood. The pain and urgency to pee was so painful I went back to the Urology clinic and they put the catheter back in me, most painful experience of my life. They sent me home and told me to come back in seven days to have the catheter removed. In those seven days I had the urge to pee and in fact I was peeing outside the diameter of the catheter that was inserted apparently it was just a little bit too small but I thought wow this is a great sign I'm peeing. At the end of the seven days I went in to the Urology clinic to have the catheter removed. She first filled my bladder with fluid and the removed the catheter and told me to go pee. I was able to pee very slow stream, very low pressure not better than before the procedure that is certain. I thought okay this is just part of the healing process. They sent me home and I could pee very little, not a consistent pressure or flow and very painful. This went on for about 6hrs. That evening I could not pee at all, I tried very hard to but just couldn't pee. By 4-5 hrs of this and the pain is so bad I have to go to the ER to have another catheter placed in me. It has only been 12 days since my erolift procedure and I'm on my third catheter. I want to try and remain optimistic and hope for the best. I'll repost in a few weeks and give you all an update.
I'm considering having uroilift......bdc961 how are you doing? it's been 24 days since your last post. Thx. JK
I had it done in April 2021 even though my prostate is normal in size. My Dr said it would help with my enlarged prostate symptoms EVEN THOUGH MY PROSTATE WAS NORMAL SIZE. I should have investigated more before having this done. My bad. Can't really blame the Dr who told me it MIGHT help. Shame on me. Since having the procedure my symptoms have not changed at all. Still getting up 3 to 4 or more times at night to pee. Flow is dramatically reduced and I feel I never really am able to empty my bladder. I also now have a constant burning urinations and pain in the pelvic area. Nothing helps.
I am 72 years old, still young enough to ride my Harley. I cannot recommend the Urolift procedure and would highly encourage all prospective patients to do your home work BEFORE.
Oh, and I continue to fight UTI's with antibiotics without relief. Is it really a UTI or an infection caused by the stents (4)? Just wished the insurance company gave me the $45,000 to skip this whole experience!
I think the Docs are making a killing with the Urolift as well as some other new procedures (green light lasers; high temperature steam to burn off the prostate tissue, etc).
I meet with my Urologist tomorrow to have a serious discussion about reversing the Urolift, assuming my insurance will cover that. $45K to put in, how much to remove? Betting its a lot MORE!

I had the urolift last October. Prior to that I was seeing a different urologist that only did a ultrasound and scheduled me for a turp. Fortunately it was cancelled and I saw a different Doc. He said I did not need a turp and prescribed the urolift after doing two very evasive tests. After the procedure i wore a catheter over night and had it removed the next day. very little bleeding after that, after 2 weeks I was back to normal activity with little pain. After one month i was voiding like a spring runoff at Niagra.. Got up once during the night and that was it. Usually after 6 hours of sleep. I guess it depends on how good your urologist is at this procedure. My doc has literally done thousands of them. I am now at 8 months since the procedure and call it a great success. my wife has to pee more often than me. Find a Doc that specializes in this procedure. Not all urologists are created equal.
