So you were diagnosed with astigmatism. This isn’t anything uncommon. Most of the people suffer from this and that includes me. Your eyes are the same size and your mother is under the influence that you have been diagnosed with astigmatism and sometimes this condition is defined as irregular shape of the eye.
So what the doctors told you to do. Did they prescribe you sunglasses or contact lenses? I must wear hard contact lenses and this is very unpleasant feeling in a first few months but you get used to it afterwards. Just don’t avoid trying to correct astigmatism because over the time this problem is going to be even bigger. And ignore your mother because that is nonsense.
