I am 25, and i have had phimosis since i was a child, it was not a problem until recently when it became fused to the glans, which was problematic because this fused section would tear during sex.
2 urologists told me to get it circumcised.
Which i did, yesterday...
The glans is super sensitive, and the place were the foreskin was fused had to be cut, but the urologist says it is not uncommon he has encountered this before... We shall see how it heals up...
You'll not regret it. I got done years ago. Took a few weeks to be able to play with it again, but worth it. No loss of sensitivity. No keratinisation. No problems coming. Don't believe any of the bullsh!t of the anti-circumcision brigade that's all over the internet. Have fun!
To those guys with foreskins stuck to their ends, so long as the foreskin is not also tight (phimosis) then you don't need to be circumcised (not that I have any problem with circumcision - I've had it done and like it). Rather than pull it apart painfully, little by little, go to your doctor. It is a very common problem. He will have seen it many times before, and there is a simple treatment. He'll apply a local anesthetic cream to numb it, then separate it all in one session. A little petroleum jelly applied daily to the exposed areas until they heal will stop them reuniting. And hey presto! A retractable, non-sticking foreskin, all in one visit, and with no pain.
I am the mother of twins boys. When they were younger I would always pull back until I saw red. I didn't think that uncircumcised boys had a head. One day when my kids were little I had just change their diapers when one of my son started to cry. When I open his diaper, his penis was swollen three times the normal size. I rushed him to the doctors because I thought something was really wrong. I had told the doctor that the baby had diarrhea and I thought maybe something is wrong with him. After waiting three hours the doctor finally came in, open my baby's diaper, took a peek and closed it and continued to yell at me about changing my son's diaper on time. They moved me to another room where I had cried because I knew that wasn't what was wrong. I had just changed my sons diapers 15 minutes earlier. me and my mother-in-law were on diaper duty because we didn't want them to get a rash and my son didn't have a rash, his penis was just really swollen. Fast forward two years later I had met a guy that also wasn't uncircumcised. He had a head when I thought that uncircumcised guys did not have a head. So I asked a cousin of mine (guy) If all guys had heads. He told me I had not been pulling back far enough and that I should try now so I did. One of my son's head was perfectly fine. The one that had his penis swell up, his foreskin was fused to the head. Turns out the doctor was wrong my son had swelled up because I hadn't been pulling back far enough and the skin was attaching itself to the head since I hadn't been cleaning back there. I took him to his pediatrician and he told me that I should just slowly pull back the skin a little every day while he's in the bath. I asked him if my son will need a circumcision and he said he doesn't think so if I always pull it back in the bath.
Almost all boys are born with narrow non-retractile foreskin which are fused with the glans beneath. This is a normal developmental physiological condition and is not a cause for concern. Some parents needlessly worry that the opening is not large enough.
Retraction of the foreskin should never be forced. It will retract when it is ready. There is no "right" age for retraction to occur.
A narrow non-retractable prepuce in boys is within the normal range of development and usually causes no problems. The prepuce usually will spontaneously widen until complete retractability is obtained. About 50-60 percent of boys at age ten do not have fully retractable foreskins.17 This is normal.17 After puberty, the percentage of boys with full retractability rapidly increases spontaneously.17
If a narrow or non-retractile prepuce becomes a problem, a wide variety of conservative alternative treatments to circumcision are are now available. Circumcision is an outmoded, radical, traumatic, disproportionate, unnecessary surgery for a minor problem.

Hi Guest:
Yes, it is alright to try to unfuse the skin.
Baby boys are born with the inner layer of the foreskin fused with the surface of the underlying glans penis. This is natural and normal. Over some years the fusion spontaneously disintegrates and releases the inner foreskin. This usually happens prior to puberty, but not always.
Apparently, your foreskin has not yet released, although it probably is about ready to release due to your age. You can try pulling the foreskin away from the glans penis to see if you can break the remaining fusion. Do it carefully and little by little. It may take you several tries to get it all.
When you tear the foreskin away, the head will be red in color, where the separation occurred, for a while.
If you can’t get it to separate by pulling on it, a urologist can help you. It is called “lysing”.
Hi InTexasnotreallyaTexan:
Thanks for a great and educational post.
I never had this problem. I am surprised that you could not masturbate by moving the outer foreskin.
Hi Floppypig:
I don't think you are basically screwed.
You can break your fusions just as InTexas did, a little at a time. If you want to leave it as it is, I think you can have sexual intercourse OK.
One thing is clear. You do NOT need circumcision. To do a circumcision, the surgeon would first have to break those fusions, which is all you really need.
If you want to go to a urologist, he can break the fusions without circumcision, although he may try to sell you a circumcision because he would make more money. Don't buy in to that c**p.

Some guys have foreskins that have tips that are too narrow to pass back over the penis head. These foreskins may be gently stretched over a period of time to cause them to widen. When your penis is erect, gently pull your foreskin back against the head of the penis. As the head attempts to pass through the foreskin it will stretch the skin a little. Do this every day and in a few weeks or months your foreskin will widen and you will be able to retract your foreskin. Do NOT force retraction.
It works by tissue expansion. Stretching skin induces “mitosis” which is a word that means “division of cells”. New skin cells are formed and the skin expands. The increase in size is permanent. Be patient and let mitosis do its work.
Hi Guest:
That is indeed a great page but the URL has changed.

There is a lot of wrong information out there being distributed by ignorant physicians. This page provides accurate information.
I have seen foreskins such as you describe. I think it is a bit more than phimosis. It is more of a minor malformation. When someone has a non-retractable foreskin, it is normal for the head under the foreskin to have a great deal of sensation. I don't know exactly what an up and down motion is or how it differs from intercourse motion masturbation. The foreskin is protective against infection, so I don't think that is much of a risk. The head does not have to be exposed to get great pleasure from intercourse. The foreskin is the most sensitive part of the penis, so he should get great pleasure whether or not the head is exposed. I would not recommend circumcision, but he could perhaps benefit from preputioplasty to reshape his foreskin. A plastic surgeon, not a urologist, should be consulted.
The "sesame seeds" are smegma that can be cleaned in the shower by pulling your foreskin back when your penis is soft. Smegma is natural, normal, and harmless.
