To me it sounds like hyperventilation, the symptoms of which are similar to an orgasm, but no orgasm has actually happened. Try to slow down your breathing during sex and relax. It's quite common. :)

It seems like many people keep saying this is a precursor to orgasm but I have experienced this also and it is not pleasurable at all! It is embarrassing and scary and distracting. Which nerve is to blame? And can anything be done to dull the reaction? Lots of similar post but no solutions :/

usually i am in control, and do all the action, its verry hard to let the control go.

Today, my gf was on top, she was riding all wild and my hands started tingling, then my arms, later my legs aswell, then i went soft, we kissed for some times, after that she was blowing me and i started to be unable to open my hands, the tingling got heavyer and i wanted to 69 but she was verry scared of what happened because i was on the floor and we always have sex in the bed (i know lame right) the tingling was extremely intense and she said it looked verry scary. she said she had the idea i was going to die, or have a psychose or whatever. anyway it was awesome from my point of vieuw. the tingling was uncontrolable but i forced my hands open slightly to comfort her. we took a shower but then i was in control over her again and slightly agressive (verbally) and she got scared and cried. this is the best experience ive had so fas, exxept that she cant handle it that well.

if this is what sex is ment to feel like, ive  been doing it wrong for far to long.

I'm also a guy and get this too, always on my back and typically when receiving oral. I don't have an answer but some good suggestions have been posted here. One thing I've found if it happens but you don't want to kill the mood is to adjust yourself into a sitting position and breathe deeply and slowly. Its very frustrating when it happens because you can't even speak!

The same exact thing happened to me yesterday. Supposedly it could be from breathing to quikly and it depends on how long you go, it could also have a small chance to do with a nerve problem.

3 times this has happened. Starts with my lips tingling then my face to my ears.then my arms and hands. One time I couldn't straighten my hands. My eyes felt all jumpy toof and then I felt like it was moving down my chest and it was hard to move my lips. Freaking me the hell out is what it's doing.

Had this happen to me the other night. Me and my girlfriend certainly weren't having sex but we were definitely playing rough and dirty. She started dry humping me and then I reached down and fiddled with her vagina until she told me that she came. Then, right after hearing that my hands and face just became really numb. I wasn't worried, actually, I laughed my ass off because I thought it was hilarious and tripy. I presume that it was either dehydration since it was rather hot outside and inside or anxiety, since I am often a fairly timid person when it comes to being intimate with other people.

This has happened to me with my fingers going numb and not getting feeling back in them for about five minutes afterward I'd finished. I talked to my doctor about it and she told me that this sensation is normal and the most common cause for it is hyperventilation. She explained that hyperventilation is when you're breathing too quick or too deep, like you do when you're aroused (not just when you orgasm). This causes a shortage of caron dioxide in your blood which causes the numbness. And that the reason it goes away after you finish is because thats when your breathing is returning to normal and you're restoring the proper amout of carbon dioxide back into your bloodstream.
She told me if I don't like the feeling, then when I start to notice it I should pay attention to my breathing and try to breathe slower, and the feeling should go away in a few minutes. But that if I didn't mind the feeling then I could just carry on like usual, that it wouldn't hurt me any.

The first time I ever think I experienced a real orgasm, this happened. I'm not sure why, but the closer to climax, the worse it gets. My hands get numb and it goes up in my arms, and my fingers cramp up, and it gets painfull after too long. My face also gets tingly and numb and my lips/mouth cramp. Its so awk and weird bc how do you explain this to a guy?!?! It's a good thing, I just wish the cramps weren't painful. Glad to know I'm not alone!

Omg this happened to me the 1st time i had sex with my boyfriend, i was laying on the bed & he was ontop & my face started getting tingly and my hands also & i couldn't really move my fingers the way i wanted to & my speech was slurred like as if my tongue went numb too, it kinda scared me but i didn't know what to expect for my 1st time so i thought it was normal but i was still wondering why it happened, hopefully it doesn't happen again
