Hi. I`m 37 and my hubby never stops drinking. He drinks home, in a pub, sometimes even in the park. I can`t stand it any more and don`t no what to do. He refuses to admit that he have a drinking problem and won`t even think about group therapies or seeing a doctor. Any woman with a drinking hubby who could tell me what to do?
Hi. I have a drinkink problem, not my hubby. He never drinks. I`m on a diet (again) and this time it seems like working out pretty well. First your hubby needs to admit that he have a problem. You can`t help when your help is not wanted. My hubby made me drink water and it really works. Now when I want to drink I drink water. Ok, I drink alcohol on weekends. But I have a good will and that is what keeps me going. Your hubby will stop drink when he recognize his problem. Nothing else to do but to make him see.
Look on the internet for alcoholic tests, the ones where its if you answered 10 out of 15 questions with yes then your an alcoholic answer them on his behalf then print it out and give it to him... i had to do that with my ex boyfriend because he just would not believe what i would tell him about how alcohol was changing him.. another thing is alot of times people know they have a drinking problem but they cant control themselves so it makes them ashamed so they don't admit it out loud..
Most important thing is dont ignore it, and think it will just go away on its own. I ignored my exboyfriends problem for years and eventually it got to the point where i was scared when he got to drunk cuz he would get violent
