my period is 8 days late and I'm now having brown discharge and lower abdominal cramps

Hi im married its secnd time my periods r late 8 days now im hving dscharge brown color and lower abdominal cramps ... should i take pregnamcy test  or is it early  ? Could it b early miscarraige or m i hvng my periods but thy dnt look like periods
