I would wonder if you are allergic to the Cymbalta? It may have caused your weight gain as well, however, I know that patients have lost weight with it as well. You should tell your doctor that you suspect the cymbalta may be causing your throat to swell. The doctor may or may not agree and will order an endoscopy to see if there is another issue like acid reflux or tumor. It is common to have post-nasal drip and have the feeling that your throat is closed up a little, too or that it feels like something is in it.
