HI....I am a 58 year old male. I have had minor nausea for well over a year but the last two weeks it's been steady. Needless to say i am worried. I am on methadone taper program, to get me off Oxycontin. I started at 80 ml and am at present down to 26ml and expect to be free of the drug by September. I am also very stressed ....have been diagnosed with acute anxiety and to add to that have a brother in hospital with cirrhosis of the liver...he is dieing. I am also on about four different heart meds for heart condition[had two mild heart attacks....could all this or a mixture of these things be causing my nausea? I would be happy for any feedback.........KENT
Hi! I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I believe that all those medicines you're taking are causing you to feel nauseous. Only methadone can cause you constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, increased sweating, itching, lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, weakness. These are quite common side effects. You could ask your doctor if there's something that could help you with this.
Thanks for your reply....off to the doctor's today....thank you Kent
