I've had this problem for 2 years now and really sucks! I just started boxing and it's pretty much ruining everything. I can do it for about 5-15 minutes before I feel like I'm gonna puke but it never happens! I've had really bad stage fright for years and ever since then I've had all of the symptoms everyone else has had. Especially after a flu of really bad cold. I can't do this much longer and nothing ever helps. I don't go to doctors cause I don't trust them. But I'm not going to diagnose myself either! Gargling salt water only works for a little bit and every medication I take I seem to get used to after about 2 days to a week so it doesn't work after that. It really frustrating. If any one finds anything that does require a bunch of pills to cause other nasty symptoms, that would be great! I need to star going competitive soon so please help! I'm looking too so I'll let y'all know ASAP if I find anything

These are similar to my symptoms, suffering for several weeks already; all medical reports were just normal. My prescription is 'Omeprazole' as well - I don't feel like getting better. I have no idea what is this

Hi veryone
Just like to know if any of you have heard of LPR or silent reflux no pains or burning other than the lump in throat sensation. You feel nothing when you are eating/swolowing once you finish after a couple of minutes it is back. It can also cause you to feel like panic attats as you feel your hear racing, try nexium 40 mg together it will take 7 days before you notice any difference, and I was also given valprim 5 mg this settled it well for me it went off for about two years and now again I am having the same issue. I stopped taking nexium everyday only when needed or feel like I am getting this thing back, Last time I neglected it and I think this caused sinus issues too went to ENT said I had post nasal drip, I also have very high allergies at the time, readings were 1665 should be below 200 Speak to a doctor first try gavisco if this helps then it could be acid reflux believe me, been there, got out of it, back to it, it is a never ending story.
I had a gasroscopy a done it stated that if you dont get this done when you are having the symptoms you will not find anything wrong, so then they advise o have a monitor (tube down the throat to measure the acid for 24 hrs. But I have never had this done

Hi I'm having the same issues. Im about to be 26. Since I was 16. These have been happened. I have a knot in my throat, nauseated, don't eat cause just the smell of food makes me vomit or gag. My blood test is normal. I'm type one diabetic and my A1c is 5.2%. I have gastroparisis as well and celiac disease. I can't take any over the counter drugs cause my body picks up all the serve side effects. My stomach is hungry but it takes me alot to even drink water cause I'm so nauseated. I feel like I should live in a bubble.

Hi my name is Lee-Ann and im 20 years old. About a year ago in early November 2013 i got really sick. I was nauseas and vommitting coupled with other things. My dad rushed me to the emergency room twice in the same day. I got diagnosed with gastro and given lots of medication. Days went by i got better but that lump in my throat was still present so i went to the doctor. My family doctor was not available so i saw another doctor who did not help me. Days went by and there was no improvement so i went to see my family doctor and he was able to make me feel 100% again with omez and zofer. But then on New Years Eve 2013 i had some bad KFC and i got sick again. I waited a while and then decided to go to my family doctor. He gave me medication and put me on a drip. I didnt get any better so i got admitted to hospital. There i had scope done and an ultrasound and everything came up normal. I got out of hospital but that lump was still there so i went back to my family doctor and he said that all my tests are normal so he said that it may be stress as im a law student so he prescribed lexamil which i tried but gave up on. I carried on as normal with the lump in my throat but my quality of life was never the same. Then on the day of my first exam in November this year i got severe nausea again. I felt so sick. So i went to a doctor who said that he would help alleviate my symptoms but i have to go back to hospital. I was so sick i missed out on more than half of my exams. I never got any better and that lump in my throat remained. I went to hospital and the specialist read the report from my previous doctor and said that im stressed. He said that i had to see a pychologist who then told me that im depressed. The psychologist wants to put me on anti-depressants and the specialist prescribed some calming medication. Honestlyi have absolutely no hope. Why cant they find out whats wrong with me. I just want to be treated and carry on with my life. It is absolutely horrible. If there is a cure please let me know. I cannot go on like this.

I have the same issue. After a round of antibiotic I have had the same problem. Lump in throat, lost 20 pounds since March, feel sick, seen GPC waiting on bloodwork, saw GI, ultra sound, endoscopy and nothing. So my GPC is stumped. The good thing is that he knows my history and I hope to get answers. I have Xanax so that doesn't help, I don't have anxiety!! I love to eat and would love to have my hunger back!!! So frustrated!! He did give me Levbid to try this week until blood work comes back!! Thanks

I am having the same problem, a constant lump in my throat, on the edge of vomiting but never do, just constant nausea. Eat a few bites of something & feel like I've just overstuffed myself on a Thanksgiving feast. I have been told I have a hiatal hernia, but it is small & should not bother me. Ha ha I also have esofogeal spasm. Maybe that is something to look into. I feel I am failing my current medication for these spasms, as it seems a medication will work for so long, then stop. They use channel blockers as one of the treatments for this condition, also alpha blockers & some other Meds in different classes. I urge all in this forum to look into this. Do a google search, lump in throat esophageal spasm you will see. There is also Cricopharyngeal spasm to consider. Check Wikipedia. Hope this helps guys.

Reading these responses I have noticed a link between the lump in my throat/nausea and my Trigeminal Neuralgia... I have a high pain thresh hold but TN is the worst pain I have ever felt, so when it starts to flair up I stress out. The more I stress the longer/more intense the lump and nausea are. (Which is not good because I'm always worried about throwing up my TN medication).

Now that I see the link, I'm far less stressed honestly and my lump/nausea has greatly decreased (it's amazing what knowing what's wrong can do).

I honestly suggest that people experiencing the same lump and nausea go see a professional and/or find the stressor so you can remove or reduce it's presence in your life. (I wouldn't automatically turn to medication without discussing the full situation with a doctor)

It might be H. Pylori, but I'm not sure.
