I am a 52 year old woman and for over a year -- going on 2 -- I have been vomitting pretty regularly. I can throw up anything, water, gingerale, crackers, fruit. Sometimes these episodes start with a headache, but not always, and last a few days. I've been to the doc and all my tests show I'm fine. I just took a upper GI and small bowel follow-thru, and I think it must have been okay. My doc didn't call me and when I called him I was told to try later. I have been nauseous and vomitting more frequently lately and I am exhausted. I can sleep all day long. My dreams are very vivid and the tv and my pc are hard to tolerate. I'm never hungry, I feel gaseous, and my stomach seems bloated. It used to take about 6-7 hours for the vomiting, now it's about 1.5 hours. I know this is connected to my digestive system because I can feel it. My stomach grumbles a lot, but there is no pain, no heartburn - nothing like acid reflex - just out of the blue I seem to start vomitting. I've lost some weight, but not a lot. I'd like to know if anyone has experienced this same set of symptons and what could be the diagnosis. I've had several meds for acid-reflux, migraine and nauseau, but none seem to do the trick. I'd love to hear from someone about this.
Sounds like a B12 vitamin deficency

im not a doctor, but i have been looking for info. i have been having some of the symptoms you have but not exactly. you could look at ulcertive colitis (that's not what i have). or they are looking into abdominal epelipsy (also known as abdominal migranes) it has been going on since august 08. i feel terrible and know how you feel. good luck, just stabbing in the dark
-see a new GI doc
-discuss abdominal migraines, cyclic vomiting, food allergies (cheese), gastroparesis
-blood tests, stool tests, parasites test
-see a good holistic doc
-discuss kefir (from a goat farmer, fermented goat milk to restore the good flora in your gut), not whole foods, raw, organic kefir from a goat
-be your own advocate. most docs suck and don't care, but you hopefully will find a good one
-ask questions
-never give up
- things like reki and accupuncture are great and make you feel better,
-find a non-cracking chiropracter with a great belief in naturopathy and herbology
-whole food supplements
-good luck

How does raw goat milk work? I hadn't heard anything about it but if you hav einformation on it I would like to hear about it. Thanks!
kefir - raw, preservative free, fermented goat's milk is the best form of kefir. as i said above, it restores the good flora in your gut. it is an amazing probiotic. trader joe's, whole foods sell some kefir, but it is no where near as good as if you get it from a true goat farmer...
u could get tested for gastoperesis or dumping also get tested for parasite deseases
You may have a compressed vegus nerve (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vagus_nerve).
My Mother-in-law spent a month in the hospital and saw every GI in town along with every test you could imagine. Everything came back negative. Nothing to indicate the source of her nausea. After 3 months of wasting away in a skilled nursing facility she saw her pain specialist for a routine consultation. He's a doctor of osteopathy (DO) and within five minutes diagnosed a compressed vegus nerve. He rubbed on it for about 10 minutes and she felt a lot better. Her DO prescribed physical therapy to loosen the muscles surrounding her vegus nerve in her neck and she was symptom free after the first treatment. She goes back every two weeks for maintenance therapy just to make sure it doesn't come back. It has only been six weeks since the breakthrough so I don't know how long she will need to keep it up. It seems like she may not need any more follow ups but we haven't tried it yet.
As a kayaker and scuba diver, this makes total sense to me. Anyone who has worn a wetsuit with a tight collar knows that you can get sudden nausea if it is too tight. Take off the wetsuit and the nausea goes away immediately. This was just her muscles doing the same thing as a tight collar on a wetsuit. I actually feel stupid for not thinking of it myself.
Medicine sometimes leads us in the wrong direction. We all thought nausea has to come from her stomach but it was actually her nervous system telling the stomach to feel nausea. The wonderful thing about this illness is that it is very low risk and low cost to treat. No Rx, no surgery, no expensive tests. Just physical therapy. If it doesn't work you are just out some time and maybe a couple of hundred dollars. Much less than her hospital experience.
There are a lot of reasons for persistent nausea of which this is only one. I feel badly posting such a wonderful outcome because I know it won't work out that way for everyone. I really feel terrible for people who have these symptoms. Doctors often think it must be psychological if they can't find the physical source. Anyone who has had it (even me with my wetsuit experience) knows it isn't your imagination. Vegus nerve nausea can be really intense.
If this helps you, please post it on other message boards you are probably tracking. This is such a simple and effective cure. I'm amazed no one is talking about it.
If this doesn't help you I'm terribly sorry. Please don't loose hope. My mother-in-law was ready go off of her feeding tube and let herself die before we made this discovery. You never know when you are going to find the answer.

Did you ever get checked for addisons disease?
Cinnamon oil, one drop internally. Results should be immediate. Cassia Cinnamon oil is cheaper, but is considered unsafe to use internally for long period of time, but I did until I read it is better to buy Ceylon Cinnamon also called Zylonicum (not sure of exact spelling.
Shuessler cell salt remedies do wonders for healing, sometimes it slow or immediate. St. John's Wort, helped my nerve damage after surgery. Wal-Mart sells it. I've read that oats ---the head while still unripe in the green stage, helps nerve damage. I read it by Dr. Richard Schulze. He is also on You Tube.
Keep searching, prayer works for me when seeking a cure.
you might try a homeopathic bowel nosode. I have no personal experience on this, but I've read some testimonies. You have to keep your bowels moving to keep ahead of bacteria multiplying. 10 raw almond every meal and celery or apples. Also Shuessler cell salt remedies work, too.
Prayer works, I've prayed for years to get some cures. The Lord will answer.
