It never hurts when eating, or sitting straight up. I wonder if a dry throat could cause this.
One week later, it is much better, the occasional slight discomfort when swallowing, but I'm 100% certain it's a muscle strain as my shoulder also felt tight.
I'm fully expecting it to disappear with a little more rest.
I was wondering if I ruptured a gland .. but from post i see on here it is like muscular .. when I run my hands up the side of my throat on the the right it's feels really grainy ... I'm just taking ibuprofen and naproxen to relieve ... seems to work for a bit .. but the sensation of it all is getting very annoying now !
Not the only one with this ... Has anyone find out how to get rid of this?
One update, after reading this website i noticed it could be muscular, i applied a bit of arnica gel on my right side of my neck and voila! The annoying pain is going away. I can swallong without any problems. Still i will see my ent next week. I also realized i snore a lot and that could have been a catalyst to make things worse. Geezzz i am such a hypocondriac.
