Negative blood test, but pregnancy signs?!!

I think that is odd because I think he would want to check me out and because I have never had an irregular period before.

I was wondering if there was a possiblity i could still be pregnant?...if not, does anyone else think it is odd for my doctor to give me birth control with no checkup? :? If I am pregnant...wouldnt the birth control abort the baby....i am so confused. I just want to know if they are 100% sure...they arent really telling me much at the doctors and I am getting really upset about it all.[/quote


I have just posted and have a similar problem.....my doc wanted to prescribe me provera, which was supposed to bring up my period, but if I am pregnant, which she obvioulsy didn't believe, I would have probably lost the baby...just like after taking BC pills.

So, go figure. I am very skeptical of doctors as I heard many stories of them not knowing what there're doing. So, if you feel pregnant...don't take the pills yet.

still no period....3 weeks late. Called the doctor and told him I wasnt going to take birth control until he examined me. I go in a couple weeks....still feeling pregnant, but trying to convince myself its impossible.

I'm new to all of this but i really need some help. I had my last AF 9th Feb which lasted 4 days as it normally would. I then had some Brown CM for 2 days, not a lot just enough for a panty liner. Was this ovulation bleeding??? or implantation bleeding??? I was then due my AF 8th march its normally on the dot of 28 days. It never came..... I did HPT came back neg after 8 days and still no AF i went for a blood test and it came back NEGATIVE.... i don't understand, ive been feeling crampy, bloated my bbs are getting bigger and so are my nipples and also quite sensitive.... then today 23rd march ive got some light pink / brown CM. The last 2 days my cramps have been getting worse.

Whats going on??? I dont understand whats going on.... anyone out there that can help???

Ok, so here is my story.
last AF started on 17 march 07, time wise - a usual 5 day flow, however i didnt pass any clots (like I ALWAYS do) the blood was very bright red, and i also noticed a lack of sore boobs (again I ALWAYS have sore boobs in beggining of AF)
I have had symptoms of pregnancy....
Boobs have grown - Husband and co-workers noticing this
Mild abdominal cramping 2 weeks before last AF, and so far 2 days after.
Crying (which I dont do often)
Crazy hungry - shaky when i dont eat
Headaches
A little more tired than usual.
Sporadic sore pimples on my back (very unusual for me)
My hubby is convinced I am preggers, however did 2 HP tests 2 just before wierd AF arrived, and both BFN :O(
We werent trying at time, used withdrawl method, but now hubby has given green light to try for a baby.. I am wondering if we have beaten ourselves to the punch - if perhaps i am preggers now...
Can anyone out there tell me if they have had a full length period (5 days or more) - (but not as heavy) turn out to be implantation bleeding. Please reply..

hi I went threw 8 pregnancy light pink one negitive blood test then that weekend tried again be cause I new already. guess what came back positive twice I called doctors and the redid my test and they were even puzzeled. babys just are a misteryus thing It happened with my other two, I was at least to months a long with them before finding out for sure

I have also been losing my mind with the wondering. I was due to start on April 21st. 3 days before my period was due I started cramping and was very tired plus my breast were sore. That went on for a couple days, then only the cramping was still lingering. I took an hpt at 3 days late (Tuesday April 24th) and it was negative. Right after testing I had a very small amount of bright red but watery looking bleeding. The next day it seemed like my period had come as normal but on day 3 I was done bleeding (like last day of my period). Although my periods can somtimes come irregular they always last for 5 full days, so that was a bit odd to only have really one day of bleeding.

Anyway since Thursday the 26th after my so called period I have had an unusual type of cramping. It is felt mostly in the very low middle of my belly and at times it just feels like presure on my pelvic area. It seems worse at night as is accompanied by lower back ach as well. This has gone on every day on and off through out the day for a week. I took another hpt today and it was negative again.

I am 34 and have 3 kids- my youngest is 8, although another baby would be wonderful and a very welcomed blessing its not as if I am so hoping that I am pregnant that I am maknig myself think I am, however I do feel that I am pregnant. It feels like my uterus is stretching, plus my libio has increased and that is very odd for me?? I ahve had 1 of my tubes removed whan I was 20 due to a tubur pregnacy and so that is also a concern- that maybe that is whats going on but testing is nopt showing it because the baby is not where its suppose to be for a test to show a positive?

I have a doctor appointment Friday but they will only do a urine test first and then I have to wait to take a blood test then wait a week for the blood work results.

I am a bit frustrated beacuse I keep reading on post that even blood work can come back negative when you actually are pregnant. Plus I thought these hpts were suppose to be pretty acurate- they worked on my other 3 pregnacies. A friend said today that if your hpt showed negative today (at what would be about 5-6 weeks along) then most likely your not pg , but I have read again, and again just the oppiste. ??
I just want to know one way or another.

How can a blood test be wrong?? Should I just wait it out and possibly get my answer once I am over 2 months along (if I am indeed pregant). If my going to try to get some straght answers from a Doctor could very well still be wrong what do you do??

Hello everyone. I am in the sam situation. I missed my period on April 4 and again on May4. I wien to my general doctor to see if I was and i got the results this morning of negative. I am not understanding this at all. I have had all of the symptoms. Dizziness, lightheaded, headaches, weird cravings, nausa,an emotional wreck. I t is not like me and my husband were trying. It just happen. everyone thinks that I am stressed but I am not stressed. I am an at home wife. I even had some id**t ask me if I was happy in my marriage and was trying to save it . What am I suppose to do. I have a normal 28 day menstrual from what I calculate I am almost 10 weeks by now, and still no pms. I am at a lost for words.

I read all the negative HPT & blood tests, am wondering did any of your doctors suggest you all did a viginal scan? I am experiencing exactly what all of you are going thru now.

My LMP was 5 Apr, my hubby and I conceived on the 22 Apr (which was during my ovulation). On the 23 Apr, I was bloated the whole day with cramps and backache. I tot it was wired coz I never had tat during O before. After tat everything went back to norm.

My next mense supposed to due on 3 May (28 day cycle, very accurate) but I had bleeding on the 2 May instead. Lesser blood and last for only 2 days, then stop. I tot mense came but was amazed why early (again this never happen before).

Immediately the next day, I started to feel pregnant with all the symptoms and my weight has been dropping. Till date i had lost 1 KG. Now I still feel bloated at my lower abdomen, sometimes pain on my left or right if I am too tired. I did lots of HPT, all came back negative. The last one was done this morning, sitll negative.

Doc send me for a viginal scan, he said could be ectopic pregnancy but I refused. I had ectopic before and the feeling is not like this. The pain is very constant and unbearable. It happened very fast. This time I am feeling very comfortable except for the bloatedness.

I am going to wait for my next mense due on the 29 May. If it does not come, I will go for quantative blood test.

Ok so back in Feb. 07 I had a Cyst removed. And I had a MRI done on 6/8/07 to see if it grow back. Well, I get done with the test and the lady asked me if I was pregnant? Then she tells me that she sees a bean looking thing inside of my uterus. And that I need to be checked. I then go and buy a HPT that comes out NEG. Then the next day I to get a blood test that also comes out NEG. My questions is whats in my uterus? I even saw it for myself.

I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 months now with luck. I just ovulated on july 2nd and by the 5th my breast and nipples are killing me and i went to the dr on the 6th due to i thought i had a bladder infection because i kept peeing and felt pressure but no bladder infection and the pregnancy test was negative is this because it is to soon to tell. My period is not to come until the 16th some one please help me figure this out, my brest are hurting as i am typing this. What could be wrong?

I ovulated on july 2nd and by the 5th myh breast were hurting so bad when i took my bra off and i keep peeing so i thought i had a bladder infection so i went to the dr on the 6th and bladder infection test in the pregnancy test were both negative. Can it be to early or what can be wrong if i am not pregnant

I feel rays of hope when i read the posts here! I am at least six days late for my period. have had two at home negatives and a blood test come back negative. I have been feeling pregnant for just under two weeks.
With my son, 3 yrs. I never notice or thought to take a test till I was 13 weeks.
I work at an ultrasound place and at gestational week 4 had a friend take a peak. She said my body was perfictally primmed to have something in there aka a thick layer of lining and a cyst on one of the ovaries, which is comon in the first 10 weeks of prenacy.
I really am hoping that I am pregant, but dont want to get my hopes up!

DEC 11, 2006 I HAD THE ULTRASOUND, AND THE DR PUT ME ON HORMONAL REPLACEMENT PILLS THAT MAKE YOU START YOUR PERIOD AND DEC 22, 2006 THE RESULTS CAME IN AND TO MY SURPRISE THE FOUND THE BABY IN THE ULTRASOUND HE HAD A HEART AND HE WAS MOVING ALREADY. I WAS 14 WEEKS LONG. BUT I WAS SCARED BECAUSE I HAD TAKEN THE PILLS AND HAD STARTED BLEEDING WITH ALOT OF CRAMPING PAIN. BY DEC 23, 2006 I COULD NOT TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE AND WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. TURNS OUT I WAS GOING THROUGH A MISCARRIAGE. SO YOU MAY BE PREGNANT TOO WITH NO POSITIVE SIGNS.
