What tests did your Dr do to conclude you had nerve/scar damage? I'm suspecting I have the same thing as I have stabbing pain under my right rib cage (it seems to be right where my gallbladder used to be). It gets worse when I lift things the wrong way, or if I stretch or move a certain way.
I agree with all that you said. I had several tests to determine the cause of my right upper quadrant of my abdomen. They called neuropathic pain and postherpetic pain

My surgery was December 2020 and I thought that all the discomfort I had before was excruciating but I was totally wrong. The pain the I am having and feeling is beyond excruciating. I can't stand for clothes to be on my/covering my incision it feels like there is glass inside of me and if anything is on it or covering it; it hurts and I feel like little shock waves at the incision and it generates down my rib cage into my side. Now I had to go to the ER and they did a C/T scan and the doctor said it was the Nerves in my abdomen on the incision area where the Gallbladder was/removed. I am a teacher and how can I go back to work in this type of pain so well as not being able to wear top clothes. I need help on what I am suppose to do. Please someone help I don't want to have to suffer like this!!!!!! Ruffin2020
