I had my gallbladder out two years ago this week. After 10 months of pain I saw a digestive specialist and she prescribed Ursodiol 250mg which I take two after lunch and amitripyline 10mg twice a week at bedtime. If I am strict with my regimen it works. My only concern is that like so many others, no doctor can tell me what's wrong - They just treat the symptom. But I guess it's better than a life of suffering. I sincerely hope this helps.

Same issues, these things have been working for me: Ketamine infusion + Lydocaine infusion + Fentanyl patch, hydromorphone, gabapentin, cymbalta and methadone.
That doctor almost kill me, he damaged 5 nerves in the right ribs area and bile duct.
Don't dismay, I suggest you to google all the time about new treatments available in your country.
I hope this information can help you and don't forget that you are not alone.

Oh God this is me!!!!!!! I had my gall bladder surgery in September, 2015. I haven't had a pain free day since. The state of Texas has declared me disable. I had to give up the job I loved for 21 years. Still in excruciating pain. In November 2015 they , they did an exploratory on my gut to see what they could see.
They also did a colonoscopy. Supposedly found nothing.
But, I have fallen many times. I have to hold something or I fall. I so knee deep in debt. Thank God for the disability. That will help some of these bills.
My PCP thinks it's MS that's been triggered by the surgery. Trying to get me to a neurologist...who won't see me until my bills are paid to the company for my physical therapy (Same company) All mighty dollar is more important.
At least I'm not alone.

My husband had his gallbladder removed October of 2016 and has been in constant pain since, same as other person we have had no life since this has been going on. He lies in bed or on the couch and moans and groans or cries because the pain is so intense.
Has had test after test to be told nothing they could see was wrong. After seeing 8-9 specialist while being at doctors for pain management today the nurse kind of made a statement unknowingly about how common it is for paients to end up with nerve damage after surgery. So I came home and looked it up, sure enough same symptoms as everyone else. Did I mention that the doctor that did the surgery refused to see him. He passed him on to a gasronologist.

My story goes back to July 3 2013. I've had all of this and more as I read the sad accounts here. My wife couldn't take it or me because it all put me into such a bad mood that it turned her to finding a coworker to sleep with. I recently even got to see a surgeon who said he had never heard of this condition. I've been through all of this and more and live with constant pain that drains me each and every day. I take Tramadol and Gabentin and get ablations so often now as maintenance. TENS treatments also help quite a bit as well but are a very inconvenient. I have found that forcing oneself to get on a treadmill and to exercise helps...it gets one in shape to "stay on top" of the pain. I did consider disability but wanted to work very much. My Dr says he would sign off on it whenever I wanted to.

After my surgery I was in such pain I could not even lay on a bed to sleep for months and months. I would wander the house at night. I stopped sleeping with my wife as I could not take the pain of even being touched. My pain started as a burn below my sternum and it spread all around my entire torso to my back and even my upper pelvis. After over a month of this I found the Dr who saved my life so that I could work. I still have pain on a scale of 1 to 5. I have pillows I carry around with me to lean on. The pain is focused right over my gallbladder also and radiates around to my back on my right side. Luckily there is no more burn..just a dull constant pain that gets worse when I sit back on a hard chair on the right side of my back. It took about 8 months before I could function at all after the surgery.

I went to attorneys after to see if I had a case. Not even the ambulance chasers would take it. You see, I was pissed. Pissed that my life had been taken away as I knew it. I wanted revenge. I wanted someone to pay for what had been done to me. I am in pain as I write this. It will never go away. Luckily I can sleep as I went out and got the best and softest bedding material I could find. Even talking hurts.

Thank you.

I was six weeks pregnant (did not know no pregnancy test post Op) after waiting four months for removal. I came around in excruciating pain. Having contractions. They called physiology. 2 weeks later found out pregnant. Unable to eat properly since. My son is four. I had left grin pain every time I eat. Oh they also left stones inside found during c section. Did colonisopy two years ago. Sedated I jumped off table. So inconclusive. After four years decided to go private. 1 sh*t sample later. Inflammatory makers. I exist in pain everyday. They offer me antidepressants. My medical negligence case is three years in and only want an apology for post op arrogance of staff. But also want resolution to inability to eat. Oh and for good measure strangulated hernia at incision site as ordinary stitches, but because of belly expanding due to pregnancy not appropriate. I feel insane and angry most days. I need to believe this will resolve and one day soon I will have a normal life. Goodluck all. More awareness of cowboy surgeon s needed. If I ruined someone's life the way this surgeon has I'd be in jail.

I am also in a lot of pain for ...over a year... after gall bladder surgery laproscope. My navel stings like blazes and won't tolerate touch. My right side hurts where a seven inch tube to a surgical drain was put into me and left for two weeks 'to drain' means tissue growing around the tube. Yanked out and I nearly came off the table. I did scream. My chest hurts where a sharp long steal knife was cut into me...three to "open me up and put air into my abdomen for a camera" to root around (and tear my nerves) or drop a screw or lens. "Laproscope easier" THREE surgeries "easier" Second surgery to repair the hernia from the camera rooting around to "See" and a third surgery to find a dropped object like a sponge or screw (or nerve damage) My neighbor has had four cesarian sections with a six pound baby taken out with full abdominal incisions into her womb ..4 times. ONE one inch cut through navel..I cannot lift a six pound baby I feel butchered and I keep putting off going back to the butchers who did this to me. THREE painful surgeries and very painful never-recovery and $500,0000 (half a million) "You can't sue doctors!!! Lids on doctor lawsuits!!" Sue-eeeee here medical pigs!
