Here is my story, I am a type 2 diabetic, sugar not quite controlled, had yeasty like discharge went to gyno and the exam was negative but found unusual light bleeding. Every day for the past week my underwear has a smearing but enough to show go through to clothes. I have been retaining water in my ankles and have not had my period for 3 months now, have mild cramping occassionally, and feel tighter in my belly region. The urine test was negative and the doc said my uterus felt of normal size. I am clueless as to if I could be pregnant and not showing or something else. I was told I have PCOS as well and take metformin and insulin for m diabetes. My periods have never been regular but at least came once every other month.

you are not pregnant because you are a virgin second it might just be an irregular period. Don't worry

If you're a virgin and haven't had sex, then you aren't pregnant. You might want to go to the doctors just to be safe!

Okay I am not new to pregnancy but it has been 12 years.  I have a normal 24 day cycle where I bleed for 3.5 days.  I always have.  This month I was suppose to start friday, the 11th.  I had spotting... nothing more than what would completely amount to a few drops over the course of about 2 days.  I have taken a home test which was neg but my sister is concerned because as with my other three, I am already having some signs.  I have more than normal urination, my breasts are tender at times, I have had the wonderful and not missed taste of metallic, some back pain, and bleeding gums.

Any advice or suggestions?  Should I simply give it a little more time and test again in about 2 weeks or should I just go to the OB and have them test me?

Thank you

here is my story, Me and my partner are TTC since past 3 months. But could not be lucky as my periods have been super irregular. Usually every month I have lower abdominal pain usually on the right side and I end up getting AF after 12-16 days. But this month it has been more weird.

I started getting abdominal pain on the right side from 6th Oct which lasted till 17th. Since 18th am getting mild pain on the left side. Took HPT on 17th and it was BFN. I had cramping on 14th till 17th and now its gone.

I have no heavy CM, no sore breasts, little weakness and feeling emotional.

Can it be a pregnancy symptom?

Hello,

I need help!! about 3 weeks ago I had spotting for one day and then it stopped. It was very watery. I thought it was strange because I have never spotted before, but I brushed it off.  Now its the end of the week my period is due and still no period.  I am spotting again though, I've been spotting for 6 days now off and on. It is minimal to none showing up on my panty liner, mainly only when I wipe.  It is really watery and went from pink, to brown, to bright red.  I am not on BCP but we use the pull out method. I took an EPT after 4 days of spotting and it came back negative. I called my gyno and I talked to the nurse who told me to take a test again in a week.  Could I be pregnant?  Also, TMI, but when I have a bowel movement I get a gush of vaginal blood.

The most common reason for a menstrual pattern like you have described is not having an ovulation every month. In a normal cycle, estrogen is produced all month. Estrogen is responsible for building up the lining of your uterus so you have something to shed each month. The good news is that you have enough estrogen to make a lining that does shed sometimes. In a normal cycle, progesterone production increases following ovulation and release of an egg.. Progesterone "stabilizes" the uterine lining in preparation for a possible implantation of a new pregnancy. If you are not pregnant that month the levels of estrogen and progesterone fall, triggering the release of the uterine lining—your period. So, if you do not ovulate, the estrogen build up of the lining continues, but without the usual ovulation associated progesterone. Thus, the hormone levels don't decline, and the lining stays up inside the uterus—your missed period. If you have been several months without a period, a gynecologist may give you some progesterone in a pill form (eg Provera 10 mg for 5 days). Within 48-72 hours after stopping the progesterone your "progesterone blood level" will fall, triggering the release of the lining that has been building up. Many women report that these periods are very heavy-- as though several months of lining are shed. There are MANY causes for not ovulating: thyroid problems, pituitary problems, ovarian cysts, physical stressors (eg sudden increases in exercise, crash dieting), emotional stressors (spouse out of work, reduced income, trying to conceive), increased body weight, anorexia, rotating shifts at work, etc.

Jay,

is it possible to spot for so long during the week I should have had my period if I didn't ovulate? I still have not had a period, but my breasts are beginning to get sore. Also I am only 22 years old, I read this is common in people who are about to hit menopause, but obviously this is not the case for me. I am going to make an appointment to see my gyno Thursday

Hello Sarah,

To be on the safe side I highly recommend that you see your doctor, it could be a hormonal imbalance or an Ovarian cyst, poor diet, lack of exercise, weight gain/weight loss, stress, etc could all be the cause. If you are stressing about being pregnant can also cause a missed period. One of the other things I have learned that could cause a missed period is a cold or flu.

Sarah,

Menopause could also be the cause if women are over weight even by a little. I had a friend who got menopause at an early age because she was over weight. But like I said hun go see your doctor for a check up

hi eeveryone

please help me out.

I have a normal 28 day cycle, my last period Oct 13 and it was due Nov 9th, I have had nothing but this weird spotting that I never had before. its not enough for a pad, only there when I wipe once or check.internally. sometimes its not even there when I wipe, I took two hpt and both were negative, I've had mild very very mild cramping. I have a obgyn apt on Thursday. this didn't happened when I was pregnant with my son, so I'm highly confused. what also confused me is I usually get extremely tender breast a week before my period and that didn't even happen. could I be pregnant and its just not showing up on the hpt?
