A friend who just gave birth three weeks ago, said that she tested negative until she was 9 weeks pregnant. Anyone hear of that possibility? I am wondering if there is still any chance I could be pregnant. I am hesitating going to the doctor, as I hate to go, am already taking prenatals, and doing everything I should be if I were pregnant. I hate to go, only to hear them say that I am not...

Hmmm.... that's interesting. Spotting blood, either in the form of brown discharge or more obvious blood, often indicates that there's a hormonal imbalance or change going on. That can happen if you're pregnant too of course, but the negative pregnancy tests basically rule that out. It's also possible for that kind of thing to be caused by reproductive conditions like PCOS and endometriosis. And then, it's possible you just had a slight injury from energetic sex or sport or something.
In any case, if you're worried, definitely make an appointment to be seen by your doctor to get some peace of mind.

Well, a week later, lo and behold.... it was too late for contraception! I am now 5 weeks pregnant and doing well! Just got diagnosed with a UTI today, but the doc says that baby is fine. Keeping my fingers crossed![/img]

Here's my story, I have two children already and my husband and I have not even thought about another one. I have been feeling sick pretty much all day for the past 5 days, I've also been cramping, and now I'm spotting bright red. It won't matter either way if I am pregnant or not but I'm confused. I know spotting is normal for early pregnancy and so is cramping and nausea, but the tests are negative. With my other pregnancies I knew I was pregnant before the tests would show up positive. I believe with my first I was 8 weeks before the test turned positive, and with my second it was 7 weeks. What are the chances that I'm pregnant again?

- never had spotting then i have spotting now.
- hyperthyroid
- irregular periods.
- bloated stomach
- acne
- when i have my period, they are very light.
Went to see 2 doctors:
1. endocrinologist
My thyroid level has become normal but my hormone level is high and she sent me to have an ultrasound and it turns out I have PCOS( Polycystic Ovary Syndrome).
so she told me to go see an OB/GYN and recommend taking Metmorfin.
2. OB/GYN
result of consultation:
- she gave me birth control because Metmorfin is not for me because my cysts are still small. There is a possibility these cysts can be washed out from my body after i have my period.
she told me to have another ultrasound after i am done with my period.
All these happened in the past week, so there is no changes or improvement in my body yet.
Btw, my OBGYN mentioned that period can be a little off after travelling.
hopefully this helps.
