You need to get a hysterectomy and leave your ovaries intact. There are many, many women who have problems from this procedure. Sometimes, the problems don't manifest until a year later. Good Luck.

Hi kris. I had novasure in December 2008. The surgeon perforated my uterus in two places. This caused burns through my uterus and I had to have emergency surgery removing my uterus, fallopian tubes, appendix, and part of my small bowel. I had a small bowel resection and was in the hospital 6 days. My son who has autism had to be institutionalized due to me having no family near me and my health was very tenuous at that time. I went to two attys locally and had an expert witness lined up from back east when two different attys failed to pursue due to their out of pocket costs. :( let me know how to Contact you. I will check back here in a few days.

I have a horrible similar story! Did you file a law suit? I need to file. I suffered awful tremendous pain and am now suffering post traumatic stress symptoms since. All my expenses were out of pocket!

I had the Novasure procedure done on 2May this year and since then I've bled and have daily cramps. I have contacted the consultants secretary for an appointment and she told me that after the procedure I was discharged so now have to play the waiting game again to see my consultant. At this moment in time I'm extremely concerned at what is going on inside me and it appears that no one cares! I had it done whilst awake and due to the pain passed out! I have been to my doctors and she has put me on antibiotics as there is blood in my urine, I have to go back next week for swabs and another referral to see my consultant. Extremely annoyed at lack of after care after such an horrendous experience.

Hi my name is Maureen.
I had the novasure ablation done last year 2014. Before my procedure I had very heavy periods. After the procedure I started bleeding less but had strong cramps. After 4 months I started to bleed more times throughout the month. After 6 months I began to have my periods 3-4 times a month. So bad & heavy I could not leave my house for 3 day and had to use baby diapers instead of pads. My life is very affected by this because I never know when my periods are going to return. Last month may was my last draw, I went to Florida for my anniversary with my husband and I just knew I was going to have a great week in Florida. With great romance, not! 8 days before my trip my period ended and the on the 2nd day my period came back on. My trip was totally ruined because I ran more times to the bathroom the enjoying myself. Romance was definitely over. So today June 9, 2015 I went to see my Dr who preform the procedure and he told me my only option is to get an. Hysterectomy. He also stated that he doesn't do surgery anymore and referred me to another Dr in the office. I then got my paper work on my procedure because it didn't feel right

This surgery is great at first, however I would not recommend it to anyone. It is not worth he pain you will be having in about 2 years. I had mine done 2 years ago and now every month I have the worst pain ever. not to mention will have to have a hysterectomy next month because of Nova Sure. good luck

I, too, endured heavy monthly periods for years and dreaded that time of the month. I had the Novasure ablation done on June 23, 2015, and although I am only 2 weeks post-op, I am glad I went through with the procedure. The procedure was performed by my OB/GYN in our local hospital. I checked in the hospital around 6:30 a.m., and was released around 3:00 p.m. the same day. I was given general anesthesia, was completely knocked out, and did not feel a thing. I felt fine when I woke up in recovery. However, after about 20 minutes of waking up (when the anesthesia wore off), I felt really bad. I was nauseous, my legs hurt badly, and my abdomen burned. Tylenol 3 did not help, so I was given Demerol---that did the trick and I was released. This may be too much information, but my period was in full swing when I went in to have to procedure. Immediately after, I barely needed a panty-liner at the hospital. When I went home, I put on a pad, but had only minor spotting when I wiped after urinating--didn't need the pad. I had light spotting for about 1 week, but currently haven't had spotting of any kind in the past 4-5 days. I am not bloated, no problems urinating, and have no pain at all. I was given a prescription for Tylenol 3, but have not had to have it filled. The first week at home, my abdominal area did feel a little warm on the inside, but not painful. I took it easy for the first week---took off work' I did major house work (mopping) before the procedure. Some people have reported bloating and weight gain. It does not appear that I will have that problem. I have always been a tiny person (5'6", 142lbs.), so I do not expect to gain weight. I am waiting to see how I feel in a couple of months. Unless things change suddenly, Novasure appears to have been the right decision for me!

I had the novasure procedure in July 2014, I was experiencing some heavy bleeding during my cycle. I was not experiencing any cramps during my cycle. I went into a gynecologist doctors office just for heavy bleeding and around 8 months later every time it was time for my cycle ti come on was in the worst pain known to man for 2 to 3 days. In that 2 to 3 days my blood pressure raises to 200/134 because of the pain. I literally feel like I am going to die. The pain is worse than having a baby. You having severe pelvic pain and almost like the gas pressure from you rear is going to rip your butt. I did not want to back to the doctor that performed the novasure procedure, I truly felt by her actions she was incompetent. When I went in for my follow up after surgery she did not do an exam, she also went to show me the pictures up my uterus after surgery and snatched the photo back. The 2 gyns I went ti see did not want to help me because they are also performing that same novasure procedure and are concerned about lawsuits. The other two gyns were experiencing issues from their patients. They were well aware of what I was going through. One of the gyns said that I was having cycle every month after the novasure procedure, but the cycle/boood was building up internally. Now everytime its time for my cycle I am trying to give birth to all the blood that built up and cysts. Because of the blood build I now have bacterial infections that I can't get rid of. I found doctor willing to do the hysterectomy, but he is not willing report the issue being caused by novasure, even he finally admitted that to me. I am scheduled to have a full hysterectomy July 2015. I am planning to filea llawsuit against novasure. Nita
