I had Novasure done in June 2016. I have gained 32 pounds since, all in my mid section. I started exercising in October, it is now February and I continue to gain. My chest is bigger and very tender. I am 47 years old and not happy with the results at all. Bleeding has stopped, but I would go back to that any day. I look 7 months pregnant. I maintained 124 pounds for over 10 years until this procedure!

I had the Novasure procedure done last year in July. I have been gaining so much weight too. Had I known that I would've never got it done

I had the ablation 2 weeks ago and have put on half a stone. I do slimming world so there is no reason for the weight gain

I have gained 10 lbs since my ablation. What has everyone done to change or loose it.? It's only around my belly. I have never been this big in my life. I know for sure it has to do with this ablation

I feel so frustrated and wish I would of never had this procedure done. I started noticing the weight gain and bloating about 6 mos later. No one ever said you would gain weight after doing this. I just keep gaining regardless of how much I exercise and eat right. I even thought I needed my hormones balanced, but that's not even helping!

It sounds like there is an imbalance hormones going on in your situation. Therefore, you might want to consult your physician on medicine or herbal remedies that will help restore balance in your body since this procedure did alter the hormone production. The uterus does help with regulating the production of hormones in women body every month.

Hope this help. Again, I will say talk this over with your doctor about imbalance hormones, and share with them that you follow a healthy diet and have an active life which you have mentioned in your above post.

I had the ablation done 11.2.17. Since then I have gained 5lbs. Started dieting - even using Contrave with the support of my primary care physician. I have lost NOTHING. My larger concern is that I have not stopped bleeding since the procedure. At first the discharge was clear with a tinge of pinkish/brown. It is now full fledged bright red with clots. I go back this week for a re-check due to my concerns. The phone nurse told me that everyone is different and responds differently to the procedure but something definitely needs checked with the non-stop bleeding. IT HASN'T STOPPED ONCE. I am miserable.

Don’t do it!!!!
I never would have done it had I known what I was in for. My procedure was 11/28/17. I bled until 1/11/18. I have constant burning sensation like heartburn. My stomach is so distended it is uncomfortable. I have gained 27+ lbs. I am running back and forth to doctors trying to figure out this problem. With the otc Tylenol, Aleve and Advil I take for pain...( which really isn’t that much) my liver enzymes are elevated.
I get stabbing pains in lower back (kidney) area that I never had before. I cry all the time! My poor husband.

I look in the mirror and don’t even recognize myself. A damn nightmare! Now going for upper GI to see if I have an ulcer...
