Took 3 years for me dear... I was on depo for 7 years. Last shot was Jan of 2014.
I have been on the depo almost two years never even spotted or any periods at all. Just a few days ago when I wipe it was a dry brown(like old blood) but then it turned pink and then red like a period. I fill up a panty liner now. I took a pregnancy test it was a false positive test which scared the he'll out of me because I went to the doctor and it was a negative for sure on there's. They still did blood work to make sure. I hope this is just a period and goes away and stays away. I was so scared I was pregnant though and so glad I am not!!!
you should not be on the depo for more than four years or it could make you sterile. if that's what you're going for then good deal, but if you ever want babies i would get off of it immediately and go ask a doctor for a test.
I'm having this exact issue (minus the sex drive thing as I lack one, I just don't have one), I don't participate in any sexual activity as I do not find it enjoyable the last time i had any sexual activity was more than 3 years ago and I've been on depo for 2 so no risk of me being pregnant. For me it wasn't even started with spotting it was started with what would be a normal flow period (considering when I had periods they were extremely heavy). I had my most recent inject only 3 weeks ago, nowhere near time for me to get another inject. when I started depo my periods stopped within the hour. I have no idea why the depo isn't working suddenly, the nurse may have messed it up somehow even though it was exactly the same as every other shot I've had for the past 2+ years. My thyroid may be messed up somehow, I don't know but honestly it freaks me out considering that I already have a million and a half other appointments if there is something wrong with my thyroid that means a bunch of endo appointments and blood work and bruises.

hi hun I no it's over a year since you posted this but I have been on the depo for 8 years if not a little longer I never had periods while on it but I've started spotting after intercourse but now I haven't stopped spotting it started with just brown blood now it's light red in colour I've had swabs done what are all clear apart from having thrush doc has told me I have to go back and see her had I may need to see a gynocoligst has I also have cyst on my cervix but I no these cyst can be quite common I am terrified of it being anything serouse I hope that everything went okay with you hun Xx
Same here when I had my 2nd baby I want back on the deop the fast time I tho I was pregnant why I was on the deop so I took a pregnant test fast one come back say pregnant then the 2nd say wasn't doctors said it might be a fake pregnant...
Was it a normal period at this time?after 15 month

i have had my depo for two years i got switched to Nexplanon and got put back onto the depo. two months after the shot i started bleeding. it starts out as a gush then after that it it spotting but not enough sometimes to wear a pad. im tired all the time and i have cramps. any ideas?

Since I got my first depo shot, my period has not stopped. I've been bleeding for 9 months now and my doctor hasn't done anything about it. I need suggestions.
Since starting the Deppo shot 10 years ago, I have not had a period, until today when I just started bleeding heavily. I'm also on Coumadin for anti-phospholipid antibody syndrome as well. Should I be concerned?
