Hello, and I have have been dealing with this for 1 week now. And I can't even imagine dealing with this for more than a year . When I go to sleep I have a mild cough and it takes me and while to go to sleep cause I'm constantly spitting . But when I wake up I can breath( not perfect) but it feels like something else is blocking the air. Then about. 5-10 minutes later I have to almost puke/cough up slime, spit, and sometimes even army green mucus . And most of the mucus is very thick.

Please if you have any information about how to cure / treat this please reply.

Same here, only during the night.
I discovered that each time I would travel between 3 and more days it would go calm down and go away.
Which ment it had something to do with my environment.
I started looking around what could cause this.
First I thought it had to do with my bedroom so went and sleep in a different room, same, no change.
I kept going eliminating things as I new something around me was causing this.
Then I discover that it was all the time there right in my face but I had no clue this could be/was a problem, my birds.
I had tame love birds, flying around the house every morning (I would let them out their cages).
Turns out that it can be worse then having a dog or cat, which I did not know:-(.
I love my birdies so this was a very sad realisation.

Maybe see if it goes when you stay somewhere else for a couple or more days.

I'm a 20 year old male. 5 feet 10 inches tall, 155 pounds (just so you understand that I'm actually in decent shape). I've been waking up in the early hours of the morning with intense chest pains ever since I was 8. I'd either throw up a bunch of mucus or suffer the day with a painful chest. It didn't happen all the time, maybe once every few months. Something has changed, and I'm not sure what caused it, but I now have woken up in the early morning with chest pains and massive phlegm build-ups at least 9 times in the past month alone. Honestly, I've lost track. As far as I'm concerned, there is no cure, permanent or temporary, and there is no common cause. I've tried every remedy to no avail. My doctor blamed it on my food. However, the chest pains and phlegm still came in mornings after eating healthy the day before. My longest streak of having this pain in 4 days in a row.

I'm afraid you will have to live with it. I've had same complaint for the past 25 years. It's caused by the food you eat and pollutants in the air. I have had an operation to cautirise the inside of my nose to stop buildup but it only lasted 2 years. I've cut out all dairy and still have it. Mine is caused by a deviated septum which causes buildup of mucus at back of nose which in turn can get infected. Only hope is an operation and that's not permanent. I visit a salt theraphy salon when I get bad and it works for a while. Salt seems to be the solution.

Look up candida - for one thing.

Also, before bed mix 1 t. of apple cider vinegar with 2 t. honey.
This may seem acidic, but actually balances the digestive tract.

I'm having the same problem too. Coughing episodes, producing lots of clear mucus that I have to spit out, mostly at night for five months now (not every night) that can keep me awake for an hour or so, then the coughing subsides, and I can go back to sleep. I'm wondering if I'm developing asthma. I haven't had allergies since moving to the west coast from the east 18 years ago. I moved to a place that is only 1/2 a mile from a major freeway 2 years ago and am wondering if anyone else experiencing this lives close to a freeway. I'm going to purchase sn air purifier.

Hi, I haven't read all posts too many but i had this and found since cut out dairy products six months ago it has stopped completely. I avoid cheese, milk and full-fat yogurts.I use Oatdream in tea/coffee and I have felt great in the last six months. New Life!
I was at friends for dinner last night and ate a cammenbert tart!! I have been awake all night with the usual gunk back again. Gone through a box of tissues. THATS IT.. I have survived without dairy for the last six months so back to it again... It works.. Good health to all. xxx
