50-50 chance of never enjoying a sex life again? ?? IT IS CRAZY that doctors dont warn women that they will gain 20-30 pounds after this procedure ANd that they might never have an orgasm again. Oh well, whoops, 50-50 chance. This is not to be taken lightly. Dont do it, this procedure can ruin your life. 100 percent chance of that!!!

Just wanted to find out your update! I've been experience the same thing & my new OBGYN was very dismissive about endometrial ablation causing the numbness.

Same! I feel I have nearly no sensation anymore.

I agree! I had mine quite a few years ago. I kept blaming my lack of sex drive on my age. Other women my age are crazy about sex. As was I prior to the procedure.

It has happened to me to with No improvement. I feel like suing as this was not mentioned. I was given the surgery to cure pain but later learned it is for excessive bleeding. So I feel like I have been incorrectly operated on.

I am not sure why anyone think that weight gain would be a side affect of this procedure. It doesn’t effect the hormones at all. Maybe lack of activity would do it, but any surgery would cause weight gain under that logic. I can see nerve damage happening, but after a C-section it is harder to have an orgasm for a while. It gets better. Also with weight gain I’ve had a harder time having one, but my weight gain happened long before the ablation. I just have had to learn to position differently.

Same thing to me too! Feb 2018 will be a year. Starting to come back but not the same yet!! I don't get as lubricated when aroused and the less intense and less frequent orgasms has really affected my self confidence. I would have never had the procedure either if I knew this was a possibility! My doc blew me off and I got a second opinion and I was handed estrogen. No one seems to get i changed literally overnight after this damn procedure!! I was even told my hormones don't indicate menopause but here's some estrogen anyway!! Hated it and actually was better sexually without it.

I could not have said this any better myself! My question is, can anything be done to get back where I came from? Doctors should reveal these stats to potential clients/customers.
