I was on the pill for about a year and a half. Back in October I switched to the Paragard IUD. My periods have always been regular and 5 days long. The IUD caused them to be much heavier, which I knew would/could happen. In January I had cramping a week before I was supposed to start my period. This has never happened before (usually it's the day before if at all prior). I read it can be a symptom of implantation so I started worrying when my period didn't come within a few days. I took a test and it was negative, then I started about a week late. In february I had about a week of spotting the week before I was supposed to start - would wear a light tampon and wouldn't bleed enough for one tampon a day. I was supposed to start Feb. 27 and have yet to do so. I took a test after I should have started and it was negative. Could the spotting have been my period even thought the IUD usually causes me to go through super sized tampons every two hours???? What are the odds the test was wrong? I'm really more concerned about there being some other problem (i.e. infertility) because of family history and the fact that i'm usually regular....
the spotting was your period. I don't think you are pregnant. If you're worried go to a doctor and have a blood test done to be sure.
