My boyfriend and me just moved into a new house in a new state and we took some vacation time to get the house settled and my boyfriend bought some oxy just to 'have fun' while we were off... and its turned into an addiction.. ive maxxed out two credit cards our bank accounts are overdrawn, weve been taking loans out on our paychecks and we are broke. just flat broke i cant seem to manage to keep any money for more than a day or two and we have tapped out all resources.. he's tried to break it and the longest hes gone without it is a day and a half.. everytime i think about it i start bawling my eyes out.. none of our bills have been paid in the two months that weve lived here and im starting to freak out i cant handle all of this stress. he knows he needs to stop because its ruining everything.. the last two weeks have been the worst, hes refused to go to work because he didnt have enough oxy to find the motivation and i admit that i have been slightly hooked on it, i wont say addicted because my withdrawal symptoms are much less severe than his... but his back hurts and he gets hot and cold and the runs and he gets so hungry but then when he eats his stomach hurts soo bad and hes so miserable and my heart breaks to see him like this and im the only one he has right now and i love him and i just want to help him but i dont know how so if anyone could please help us.. theres no way he can go to rehab our work has a strict no drug policy so if they find out he will be fired on the spot and theres no way we could handle that financially right now, not that were doing any good as it is.. if there is a way to help him break this at home as fast as possible with over the counter stuf please help me. ive looked it up and so far ive found people saying that some vitamins and bengay and immodium would help but if someone could break everything down for me, what to buy, what he should take and when and also what he should eat.. and if it could be reasonably priced? like i said we are really tapped out here and i need to do this as quickly and cheaply as possible.. i love him i want the old him back please help...
Often employers offer some sort of treatment program for employees that come to them, admit they have a problem and ask for help. It is a difficult thing to admit and especially to an employer, however, getting caught under the influence, or using while on the clock could cost you your job. Besides, people show humility when we are honest and forthright.
If the above is not an option.... read through the reply's in the addiction section. There are some helpful suggestions as well as what has worked successfully for some also.
Good luck!
