I had the surgery under a week ago and less than 24 hours later I had to go to the ER due to the extreme pain. It’s like the most amplified version of getting kicked in the balls and it never fully goes away. The ER confirmed that I’m bleeding into my scrotum and that I just have to wait till it clots and the blood gets processed through my body. They gave me three IV drips of hydromorphone and then a round of ketamine. All helped but when they began the discharge process it all wore off and the pain returned. My balls have swollen to the size of a grapefruit and I can’t walk without wanting to buckle in pain when they bump against my thigh. The incision burns regularly with flares of intensity that are almost unbearable. They’ve prescribed me oxycodone and dilladid(sp?) and neither really works fully. Takes it from a 9 to maybe a 4. All the doctors seem surprised at the pain levels and are very unhelpful. None of them can give me any kind of time frame for signs of healing. Please tell me if anyone has experienced this. At this point I’ll take some solidarity from others.
