I have just discovered a lump under my tongue. Its quite big and feels a bit like a blood blister. I have no idea when it appeared, there is no pain at all. It wasn't there when i brushed my teeth this morning so its got quite big quite quick. The lump is probably about the 50 - 60mm and looks a bit like a mole but is skin colored. Its right under my tongue but attached to the throat area, just to the side of the middle bit of my tongue that attaches it to the mouth, if you understand what i mean??
Should i be paniking? Should i see a doctor quickly or wait a while to see if it goes on its own? And is there any remedy i can take at home? I'm a non smoker and hardly ever drink (maybe 10 glasses of wine in the last year)
:-s i do admit to being scared of the dentist and don't go as often as i should, but i brush my teeth regularly and don't suffer from any tooth ache or anything.
Look up submandibular tori in google photos and see if it's that. It could also be a clogged sublingual salivary gland. Especially if it gets bigger before you eat something. Don't be scared of Dentists they will just look at this, nothing difficult.
