Pain when urinating should be seen by a doctor. Be sure to drink a lot of fluids, preferably apple juice or better yet, cranberry juice. and take some vitamin C. This make your urine acidic so when you pee, it cleans out your bladder and helps to eliminate the bacteria causing your bladder infection (if this is what you have) Go see the doctro as soon as possible and ask to have your urine cultured (especially if you started drinking a lot of fluids, the dip stick to test for infection won't work if the urine is diluted) The extra fluid/water will help with the pain.
For the mentrual cycle: Every month, a lining starts building in the uterus. The woman ovulates and if sperm don't meet egg, the lining sheds 12-14 days later. This is the period. The first day of flow is called Day 1.
If you can mark a calendar with your Day 1, after a few months you'll see a pattern and you'll be able to predict when your next period will be.
Most women have 26 or 28 day cycles but this varies from woman to woman.
Sometimes my cycles are as short as 21 days or as long as 28. I've heard of women having 30 day cycles.
Some women have a bit of spotting (this can be red blood or brown) a day or two before the real period flow comes. Most periods lasts for 3 to 5 days, having 2-3 days of big flow and some spotting at begining and end. Every woman has her own pattern. It really helps to write it down in a personal calendar. This way you can also note if you have cramps or moods too.
Having a period is very natural and normal. If you have only a bit of spotting and don't really know what I mean by flow, that depends on your age. If you are young and just starting your periods, you may only have some spotting every couple of months. Just be sure to change your pad every few hours so you can stay fresh. A slim panty liner may be all you need if the spotting/bleeding isn't too much.
As for the hymen, I don't know. Sorry.
Hope this helped. Let me know if I've answered what you needed to know.
(there are no stupid questions, don't be shy)
:-)
There are some things I could suggest though, which may be unrelated but are worth a shot..
I have poly cystic ovaries and had been on the pill for 3 years to 'treat'/control it whilst I was going through year 11 and 12. I recently stopped the pill to see how things would go and this is my first period since - which is the same as what you described. So potentially, this may be something to get looked at for you if you have polycystic overies or the like.
Something else is I recently had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and we were very careful, and he pulled out before ejaculation. So pregnancy is something I'm worried about if I'm fertile, as I know he does sometimes pre-ejaculate
So those are my two ideas as why it's happening! Depends on your individual circumstances of course, but hope it all went well and would be interested to know if anything came of it :)
