Should I be concerned about a Lump that's painful on my left side of my pelvic butt bone

No, its deep inside lying on top of the bone. I've noticed it for about 4 months now. Its tender to the touch when pushed in. Its, definitely not a boil or cyst, because its hard. I thought is was a calcium deposit at first. But it shouldn't be painful.
In that case I would advise you to go to your doctor and get it checked out.

Why would a 16 year old boy have a knot on the right side around his pelvic bone, only tender to the touch?
