i seen someone post something about vitamin c and rubbing it on ur armpit. i didnt have any vitamin c and like a dummy i looked in the medicine cabinet and only only seen omega fish oil caplets. so i washed my armpit lol. and put fish oil on it. instantly the pain went away. LOL

weird ? who knows... but i agree with what someone said earlier. it has to do with gaining weight and sweating alot. cuz those are the 2 things that have changed in my life. im a 37 yr old male.

i been using alot of deodorant as well... and been pasting it on... to deter any sweat

Ok I know thi sis going to sound crazy. But if you dont want to go to the doctor to have them lanced my grandmother (Rest in Peace) has helped me with this problem sinc eI began having them. You can get a cabbage leaf or get a whole potatoe and slice it into rounds peices. And take one or the other and tape it over your bump and leave it there over night. By the next morning the leaf or potatoe slice will be dryed up and the bump should have a head on it or bust on its on in the middle of the night. I promise you this helps me out so much bc I dont always have the money to go back and forth tot he doctors to get them lanced. Ive been doing this for 4 years and I love it and it takes some of the pain away as well.

P.S. Sleep with a towel under your arm in ase it busts!!! :-D

So I have always had these since I was little, just assuming that they were pimples I would pop them&only a little puss would cone out. Then they would get huge. Being the worry wart I am, I though something was seriously wrong with me. I rarely ever told my mom becauseshe seems to exaggerate&freak out which in timefreaks me out. I have a huge one now on the top of mine. What I am going to do is let it heal for a few days since I have been picking at it, thinking it was a pimple. I'll tell my
mom when it's not as huge so she doesn't freak out as much, then we can get something to make them better. Mine hurts, but not way to much, so Im not as worried as I usually am and now i know I'm not alone. If you have any tips on this PLEASE REPLY TO THIS I need some advice. Thank you!

I have been "plagued" with this for years 30 plus on and off. The older I get (56) the more fast and furious they become. Reading others, I know that we are not alone. I am tired of going to the doctor where they prescribe antibiotic, after antiobiotics. Just when I think I may be getting relief they all show up again in my armpits and groin area. It is a good thing I am not an entertainer where I would have to lift my arms overhead (2 surgeries) and one behind my neck. Stopped using deodorant and shaving armpits unless necessary (not much growth there which is a good thing). As far as underware, I guess I'll go buy a size 3 times larger as I think the elastic might be a problem. I am also careful not having anything binding under the armpit area. It sucks. I know many people have so many problems and this may sound trival but for those who suffer from this is is debilitating. It makes me grouchy and cranky like a bear with a sore ass. I am about ready to get everything lasered and I mean everything. In the meantime I am going to check out a dermatologist. I have not done that yet. Good luck to all and would be happy to hearing any miracle cures. I really was beginning to feel something seriously wrong with me but the more I read, I think it is more common than we realize. I know I don't share this with a lot of people and it's certainly not lunchtime topic of conversation.

Oouch i get thoses and they hurt but i just put some peroxide on it, it usually pops itself. But what if they had a little plunger for zits and you just put it over the clogged poor and you would plunge a blocked pore like you did a toilet.

I cant believe it, it sounds exactly like what i have been suffering from for about 2 years...

i thought at first it was caused by the underwire in my bra, my belt buckles etc. as i am sensitive to metals on my skin...

i have printed the page about HS and wanted tot hank you very much for pointing me in that direction.

it is a very nasty thing to have... embarassing and makes me self conscience of myself...

hopefully i can get some answers...

i ahve actually been afraid to go to the doctors because of embarassment once again... but now that i see that it is more common, i feel relief and will be going to get this checked...

I suffered with many painful boils for a period of about 9 months - even my family were getting them. One had sties in the eyes, one of my sons got whitlow twice (an infection in the cuticle of the finger nail) and my youngest developed a very big cyst on his neck which had to be treated in hospital.  My doctor finally (after asking a colleague) sent us to have swabs taken from our noses. All the infections were being caused by the same bacteria - Staphylococcus aureus. We were prescribed a nose cream -  Naseptin - I think. We never got them again. That was about ten years ago.

A friend of mine had gone to her doctor when she got some boils and her doctor had immediately sent her to get the nose swab done, prescribing the cream even  before she got the results!

Hope this helps.
