My son is soon to be three years old and I first noticed the bumps at his 2year check up. I asked the doctor and he said my son is allergic to diapers. In fact my son when he wore pampers he had a yeast infection that turned to ring worm and lasted 6 months. (20 ringworm on his bottom and inner thighs to be excat.) He is being potty trained now and there are not as many pimples. But he is wearing the pull-ups at night. Yes they bother him if you touch them. Hypo alergic stuff works - do not use anything from johnson and johnson.

My daughter had a rash that i treated like a diaper rash but would not go away. I became desperate and tried corn starch but that made it worse. They were tiny little bumps that were more apparent on her butt and legs and her vaginal area was red. After a week there were patches of pimples and they got little white heads on them. I did not 'pop' them. I finally took her to another doctor and he said it was a type of fungal infection/yeast infection. He said I could try monistat or alike but those are made for only certain types of fungi. He prescribed Nystatin for my daughter and within days it cleared up completely but we were told to keep using it twice a day for 14 days just to make sure it doesn't come back.
Hope this helpes some of you.

Oh and I don't think it is related but as a newborn my daughter was and still is allergic to pampers brand diapers. We used huggies and luvs and recently started potty training. She has gotten some weird bumps again on the back of her thighs. I plan to take her to the doctor if it doesn't improve soon. I still have some Nystatin and may try that first.

I also have a 2 year old daughter in pullups and pimples on her outer thighs and buttox. She cries when I touch them. We have not yet been to the Dr. but I think we are going to have a visit soon. If anyone finds out for sure this is from Pullups PLEASE let everyone know.

My son and daughter both have bumps on their butt cheeks today. The 4 yr old's has turned into a cyst-like boil. My daughter's, who is 2, is only a small, red pimple like bump. But I'm pretty sure I knnow what this is. It's something I've been dealing with for about a year. Mine started out under my arms, and the doctors thought it was just little hair folicle infections. Finally I got one on my inner thigh and it was tested to be MRSA, or a staph infection. I kept getting these popping up everytime I shaved under my arms or if I sweat a lot during working out. I finally got it to go away and haven't had an incident in about 2 or 3 months. What helps is using anti-bacterial soap on the bumps and all areas where I've had the sores - and leave it on while in the shower, all bubbly and lathered for about 2 minutes every day! This is like a miracle treatment. Anti-bacterial gel or purell also works. I need to put this on my kdis and hope it works! You all might want to try that on your kids also.

I have to agree with the Pulls Up suggestion. I have always used the same whipes and Walmart generic pulls ups! I went to Walgreens because they had a better deal on their generic Pull Ups. Ever since I bought them (it's been about a month now) these pimples keep appearing. I have NEVER had a problem with diaper rash and I have always been able to use any diapers I wanted. When I stopped using the Walgreens pull ups it did appear to clear up a little. I gave some of the Walgreens ones to the daycare so when she goes there and they put them back on it's worse. I have tried every cream mentioned here. I did call the Dr and they wanted me to come in but it's going to cost 200.00 and from what I read here it seems as though the Dr is not the answer! I'll have to keep trying! Thanks for the info mommys!!!!!!!!

My child also has these bumps on his butt. Looks like a bunch of zits. I have done research and the only thing that even comes close to resembling it is something to the tune of Shingles. He has a doctor's appt coming up, will keep people posted.

my daughter is 2 and has these same pimples on her butt. as one goes away anotjer comes back. her doctor said to soak her butt every 2 hours in warm water. I also use a warm rag on her for about 10 mins. since it is not always possible to soak that often. this does seem to help them go away quicker. In regards to hte pull ups, my daughter got one before she statred wearing them but it seems they came more often after. Also her doctor did say that if your child scratches and gets a little cut or has dry skin the more likely to get the pimples.
